I'm looking to acquire my first Ferarri (1970s-80s Ferarri 308...) on the east coast hopefully this year. I have my mechanic lined up and have been going through this forum and facebook to become a more educated and informed Prancing Horse Jockey.

I was wondering what insurance agency most of you use for your Ferarri. Do you run through your standard insurance provider (State Farm, Allstate, Farm Bureau, etc), or do you recommend running it through the alternatives (Hagerty, Grundy, American Modern, American Classics)?

Obviously, rates are individualized for everyone based upon location, number of drivers, history, other policies, etc., but wanted to get this group's feedback on pros/cons to consider with a ~40 year old vehicle such as this.

I assume east coast is US east coast, so I wont be able to help with insurance as I am from Europe, but I would suggest you check the spelling of « Ferrari » when posting on FerrariChat.[emoji6]

Give Amy a call at Private Client Group and get a quote 419-794-1080, I have been with her over 10 years and she does a number of collections that I am aware of. mostly agreed value

I insure my 1988 328GTB in New Jersey with CHUBB classic car insurance. An Agreed Value policy ($125,000) costs me about $550/year, including liability insurance.

    Good luck,

I'd suggest finding one you are comfortable with but unless you plan on daily driving the car I'd look at Collector car/agreed value policy. Just watch the details like mileage limits or secured parking. I used Hagerty when I had my 308.

Here are my suggestions in no particular order:

    State Farm
    Allstate
    GEICO
    Progressive
    Farmers
    USAA

My preference is GEICO just because I like talking lizzerds. But the other ones are probably almost as good.
