Weller is a solid pick if you can grab one, except the 12

    Why avoid Weller 12?

It’s like flat cola, and hard to get. The other Wellers offer a wider and more Satisfying flavor profile

I tried Beam's new Old Tub release. It's pretty damn good for a BiB.

I've got a huge collection, nowhere to put it like that though.

What do you think of the Old Fitzgerald? I've been trying to get a bottle all the pricing I see is insane.

The Old Fitz is incredible, no exaggeration. Very smooth and packs an incredible flavor. One of my favorites for sure.

Get a bottle of Stagg Jr. It's better than George T. Stagg.

I've got a few bottles. Along with a couple bottles of GTS I acquired from an FChatter. The Stagg Jr is better than the GTS, especially Batch 9. If you can find a bottle, Batch 9 is the best bourbon I've ever had. Better than Pappy 15 and 23. Better than William Larue Weller. Seriously good.

I haven’t had a palatable stagg jr, but doubtful it’s better than any antique collection And I don’t hunk it’s wheated

Just tried this year's Little Book, yes I know what time it is. :)

It's better than the last couple of years but still meh.

Honestly the only reason I buy it is to have it as a taste and tell comp when I serve folks anything from the BT antique collection.

There's really two ways to make great American whiskey, one is to make regular proof whiskey taste rich and complex, the other to make high proof whiskey taste smooth and complex. The world is awash with bland low proof whiskeys and undrinkable burn your throat high proof whiskeys.

Drinking a high proof BT collection whiskey next to something like Little Book really highlights this dynamic.

This showed up yesterday ... not normally a KC fan, their high proof stuff is a good example of setting your throat on fire, but at a 100 proof, 15yrs, and not stupidly priced, it's worth a try. My super low expectation will probably result in me liking it. :)

I’ve liked KC so next time at my local shop I’ll look for it.
Edit... just their regular version, haven’t tried the Maple, etc.

So first of all the Knob Creek 15 is delicious, and a great value at around $100, so I'd recommend it.

Picked this up earlier today at TW ... never heard of it bur I got curious to see what justifies its $120 price tag. We shall see. :)

My dad and I would always have happy hour 5 o’clock straight up every day whenever he/me would go visit. Always had at least one bourbon OTR.

The last bottle of bourbon we drank together was one of those Knob Creek 25th anniversary.

To this day every time I go out to dinner/meeting etc I always drink Knob’s Creek OTR............

I picked up a bottle of the Maker's Mark 46 Limited Edition today. About 110 proof. I also grabbed a bottle of Willett Pot Still and for $34 it's a nice mixer. They had the Knob Creek 15, I should go back and get it. KC 120 is a staple for me.
