This is going to sound weird but its not air conditioning but climate control (so depending on temperature it uses a/c to cool car or heat to warm car) - read the owners manual and then experiment with what you think is the a/c on/off button but is actually climate on/off as well as the other buttons

There are many extended threads about this in the 360 section eg https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/what-does-the-stop-button-do.443501/#post-143045193

And to add to the confusion for many years the manual said off when it meant on !

Default is on. You press the button in to turn it off.

If the STOP button is pushed in and lit, I am assuming the a/c system is off.
    Correct?
    I have a 2002 Modena
    Thanks

Yes, you have to use STOP to turn it off. Default is ON. Just set the temp you want and the system chooses heat or AC depending on what is needed.

Jeeeez.....STOP button turns off the climate control. Your AC and Heat will not function with the STOP button pushed in.
Not sure why it was designed that way.... a guy I know that used to track 360's said he disengages the climate control any time he runs the motor to redline. Make sense to me.

With the system button stopped, fresh air only?

You're promoting a localized home A/C service company on a thread about Ferrari climate controls? Seriously?
