When I looked through the pictured it just doesn't look like that clean of a car and there is nothing unique about it. Anyway, it's just an opinion. We'll see where it ends up.

Will do, I have several cars (720S, Challenge Stradale, AMG GTC, etc...) but I find myself driving the 355 almost as much as my truck (I live in TX after all). When at speed, you can hear it coming from miles away with the Capristo upgrades. Yet at low RPM’s you can drive it down the road and not disturb the neighbors.

Maybe I’m crazy, and I may be projecting here a bit- anecdotally it seems there’s more demand for non-red cars. That said I think this is a 90-100k car, non red would sell for more. Similarly if it were 1 owner and 10k less miles like the previous gtb, it should sell for way more than that.

That's part of the reason I said it won't make $100k. Just another red Ferrari. Nothing special.

The black on black with 40k
Miles already 58k... a 99 with 50k on the driven exchange (spider went for 62k last month but it had all done)

I think non-red cars are more valuable to people on these forums - since many have had multiple Ferraris and probably have already had a red one. I think to the rest of the car-buying world, red will always be the most popular choice.

    Agreed.

Had a red 355. Desperately searching for a non-red one that fits the bill. :D

that's funny. I had a yellow 360 as my first Ferrari. Didn't like yellow for what ever reason. I became a porsche guy, and i've been "anything but red" on my air cooled cars. I bought a really nice red 964, sold it 18 mos later because of the color. I admit I'm trying to decide if because its a Ferrari, I could own the 355 GTS in red. I'd probably prefer blue or white or silver or ... but has the name "resale red" lost its meaning?

I think resale red will always be good to go.

You walk into your garage and the design of the car looks amazing from every angle. You turn and look at it as you are walking away...

Where resale red can lose a step is with this group of type A personality cultists for the car.

This group wants the most unique of the unique. Not to show off, because most don’t care if anyone sees them in their car. It’s their own “thing”. But more for an extra personal wow factor since most of us could not order them new from the factory. Having a non red car gives you a little more personalization. A “not off the rack” feeling although, that’s kind of funny because the F355 or any Ferrari actually is kind of out of that realm already....

I like the idea of this hierarchy- I think there is a missing point here about availability. F1 cars of all body types are currently available on the market (not that the sellers are selling for prices that change the pecking order) but it seems like you can readily buy an f1 in any body type in a relatively diverse set of colors. There are not many options if you’re looking for a gated car.

And even less if you are looking for a 95, arguably the most collectible year.

BAT market has been stupid hot. I’d say some ppl are overpaying. For instance you got a FF on cars and bids selling at market correct 100k versus 110k-120k on BAT. I’m not sure this will last.

This is pretty much on the money IMHO. In the end, it's still about supply and demand for these beautiful and wonderfully enjoyable cars. If you really want to see the market shoot up, let's all commit to not sell our F355s.

Same car 8 months ago poorly presented, pre covid gets 40k, 68,5k plus fee so 71k today ...
I’m just not all that sure. It certainly is a 55-60k car but 71k? Only on BAT...seems like it’s across the board:
U see tons of FF for sale everywhere for 100-110 but bat gets 10-15% extra, Testarossa are 100k car for the past 2/3 years, been sitting on auto trader for a long time but on BAT last 2 ( I should say 3 but the blue one was rare) crack 120-130 which is easy 15% up.
Is the market really up 15%? Not sure.
The GTS will get 110k I’m pretty confident.
I recently passed on a Berlinetta 96, 35k miles,9 owner for 89k serviced which tells me it’s 100k car on BAT. Why do not all dealers push their cars on BAT? Seem simple enough? In 2020 everyone has that info. Perplexed as of why some cars sit for ages, go on BAT and bidder pay more than what car was advertised. I mean it’s all good but it’s surprising;)
    Good for the owners!

I recommend chuck. Car was offered to
Me 86-89k with dye, corrosion address and major. It’s easy 100k on BAT, I couldn’t convince myself I like that over a Testarossa enough for 100k so went for a local spider. Someone should get this!

On its way to being a really nice car. I believe Chuck said it has ~36k miles? Very easy to work with.

Ok, I don’t usually do this but...

interesting back story but I have just picked up a 95 gated 355 spider with 15.5k miles on the clock.

It’s a US car, imported to the UK about 4 years ago so with a little modification for UK roads; major done last year, and just in having an annual at my local main dealer. Paint is great with full self healing ppf, interior nice but needs a little tlc to overcome Arizona sun on the dash.

ignoring BAT what would this fetch in the US? (I now have a 348 and the 355 with a 2 year grace period from the boss to sell one!!....in theory :) )
