Very “Special” indeed.... I chose the S over my 16M when deciding which to sell (tough choice). Truly last of a generation....would only trade my S for an SA.

Agreed they're not cheap!! Mine was $225k with options - but here in the UK they hold money pretty well compared to a big BMW, Merc or Bentley.

But the quality is superb and it just works and does everything I ask 100% without issue.

My car is in dark grey, blends in beautifully and offends no one - quite important now we're becoming a nation of jealous haters.

Sad, isn't it? I just bought my first Ferrari in Korea. Wouldn't have bothered buying anything nice back in London. Had to get out of there. I can imagine how much stick you get for driving a Ferrari around, you greedy capitalist pig.

    My DDs:

Korea - 488 GTB. My only car here. I work from home, so don't actually drive it daily. But at least twice a week.

Malaysia - 2020 BMW 330i. Needed something fun enough for me and tame enough for my mum. Crazy car market, 140% tax.

Australia - Audi A7 (now sold). Zzzzzzzz...

It’s really sad but the UK has always been quicker to bring you down than appreciate success, wealth creation and capitalism for the greater good of society.

I’ve been in business now almost forty years, I don’t want to think how much tax I’ve paid. My businesses employ and have employed hundreds if not thousands of people and I hope we have contributed in a small way by giving opportunity and encouragement so our people can improve and secure their own lives.

Yes those efforts have improved my lot in life but I still remember both the excitement and fear on that first day in a starter unit with a single asset - I know you are joking and yes in some peoples eyes it makes me on the face of it a capitalist pig - but I’m proud of what our people achieve.

Sadly Some days I fear for where this once great nation is heading.

I adore my Ferrari’s but that Panamera really is a weapon on a daily basis.

Have a great day guys and girls.

We did a road trip this past weekend in the Macan S and it’s a really nice and fun car. Quite solid, and handles like a sports car.

This is my soon to be daily driver - 1990 Toyota Hilux.

As soon as I finish the new wiring harness and the 4-wheel disc brake conversion, she'll be back on the road. Current motor is a 22RE with a W58 Toyota Supra transmission and an 8" Toyota rear differential with 3.07 gears. My future plan is to build a custom turbocharged 3RZ motor - and drop that in - which I figure should put out about 350-400 HP at 15 PSI boost.

I originally bought it off Craigslist a couple of years ago for $800. My plan was just to use it for hauling wood around my property, but I have since decided to rebuild it and use it as my daily driver. So far I'm into it about $5000 or $6000. The wiring harness is sitting upstairs in my living room as we speak.

It's on its second motor and had 437,000 miles on the odometer. Someone who previously owned it installed a W58 gearbox (which I have since taken apart and cleaned). They also installed a larger differential in back, so someone at some point knew what they were doing. The motor isn't the original factory motor which came with the truck. From what I can gather, someone accidentally installed a motor out of a 4x4 version; the motor is in great shape internally, but I had to re-weld the oil pan to provide clearance for the steering linkage, as the 4x4 and 2x4 pans are slightly different in design.

The level of dirt and grease on the frame, body and motor was pretty insane, but it actually was so thick that I think the grease served to prevent most of the truck from rusting. I've power washed the underside 4 times and finally had to give up and switch to using a can of gas and a rag to clean it. It's pretty clean now though, I'll tell ya that much. My original goal was to learn everything I could about this particular Toyota pickup and also the 22RE motor. Given that I have had to service or replace just about everything on the entire truck, I think my mission has been accomplished. I'm now intimately familiar with the fuel system, electrical system, exhaust system and all the smog emission system on the motor. A couple of months ago, I welded up a custom 2.25" SS exhaust system also.

Originally, it had drum brakes in the back - but I decided that was too much of a hassle to deal with for a long term daily driver, so I designed some caliper adapters (in Fusion 360) for the front and rear and have since adapted 4-wheel Wilwood disc brakes. The front rotors are just shy of F40 size :) I'm still finishing up the front SS brake lines, but my guess is this little truck will stop pretty well, once it hits the highway. It's been a fun project; definitely takes the edge off not having my 458 to enjoy.

Here are a couple of photos of how the front brakes are coming along - 12.88" rotors with forged narrow super lite 4 piston calipers:

lol yeah, those Top Gear episodes where they leave the truck in the ocean and drop it off a building are fantastic. I really love this little pickup; it's built like a tank and is really well designed from front to back. Even with only about 115 HP, it's a joy to drive. I can't wait to build a new motor and mess around with it. I was going to put a 1JZ or 2JZ into it, but I don't want to have to lengthen the front fenders or chop up the fire wall or anything. After researching all the different Toyota motors, I figure a 3RZ or maybe a 3SG turbo would be a fun motor to build and put in. The 3RZ can handle 600 to 700 HP from what I have seen, so running that with a low compression ratio and 1 BAR of boost at around 300-375 should be no sweat. There's room under the truck to install a water tank and run water injection along with a small intercooler up front. At 20 PSI, my guess is 400+ HP - that should surprise a few people between stop lights or on the highway :)

I'm running a kevlar clutch in it now, so we'll see how that does on the street also. I've also got light weight forged aluminum wheels on there, so I'm hoping it handles pretty well too.
