I’d hoped to be one of those 308 owners who said they never got stranded but, alas, I got stranded tonight. It stalled out while I was driving it. Not sure what’s going on and, unlike many of you, I’m not much of a DIYer… It turns over and it has gas. But it seems like it’s not getting any spark. Any suggestions?

I take it to a very well-regarded mechanic in the Indianapolis area so I’ll be bringing it to him as soon as I can as it’s parked out in front of my house (my driveway has too much incline to push it in). I’m sure he’ll be able to figure it out quickly. Oh well… Luckily, I have Hagerty with roadside assistance and they were able to send someone out quickly. He did a great job of getting it on to the flatbed without any issues.

I can definitely relate to that, on Oct 14, 2014 on my way home from the Ferrari 60th anniversary celebration held at Beverly Hills, CA my alternator went bad as I was just using whatever charge is left from the battery and never made it home and the car finally died on the freeway, called AAA to tow it at my home. Anyway got the alternator rebuilt the next day and never had problem since.

Check the fuse panel. The fuel pump one. See if it's brown/black from overheating.

(Mine has stranded me twice in 20 years, though there have been numerous incidents where it was touch-and-go. )

Who took that pic? ;) Good memory in that it wasn't anything serious. I still remember the call: "Mark, my car is dead on the 405. Where are you?"

Good old memory huh Mark? Thanks again for staying with me that night and thanks for using your rental car as shield to protect my QV from getting hit by the CA speeders. :)

    Well, n
Well, nothing serious. Just a bad fuse. Probably time to upgrade to the Birdman fusebox!

Glad it was simple to 'correct' but as the troubleshooting guide would ask...what caused the fuse to blow?

That's a good question! I'll need to do a little more digging...
