360 Noise from oil pump chain?

Hi,
As I don't have any other 360 to compare it to, I wanted to ask, if someone could me if you are able to hear a slight rattle/noise from the area of the oil pan where the oil pump, the chain and the tensioner are?
I can here mine slightly at lower rpms.

Oil pressure is fine, engine runs great.
F360 2003 manual, 40k miles.

"Oil pump chain"? There are no chains in the 360 engine, where exactly are you hearing the noise?

Not a part discussed much, guess I should have checked the diagrams...

 

Yup, there is one but what about the noise coming from down there?

 

I think the 355 has a chain drive.

 

The parts for the oil pump and chain drive are partially the same for 355 and 360.

 

The 348 / 355 also has a oil pump chain ...

 

Can anybody tell me if they can hear their oil pump chain drive while idling or revving to about 2000rpm?

 

Just started mine. All I hear are the injectors (ticking) and exhaust.
No chain sounding noise fwiw

 

Thanks, it's hard to hear, I can only hear it when revving a little bit in neutral. But exhaust is so loud you can hardly hear it.

I will take off the oilpan anyway and check the chain and tensioner.
