Just drove it today. Sounds great (similar to my 458 Spider) but wicked fast and planted. WOW!!!!

It is gonna be a loooooooooooooooooooooooong break in period.... No over 5k rpm and not over 4k rpm during warm up... However, not as bad as other cars... 621 vs 1,000 miles.

I "love" how they place the disclosure on the invitation; "enjoy a socially distanced scroll"... Let's see how that pans out. However, I really hope you guys have some fun and enjoy yourselves out there. I am happy to see some sense of normalcy returning, albeit "weird" with this social distancing rules. I wish I would share the experience.

If you want a car today you can get it. Call dealers and ask for slightly used. They are starting to show up but Ferrari won’t let them list them. Fort Lauderdale Ferrari has a white one, Algar Philadelphia has 2 black ones and a red that is in transit. Call Algar and ask for Jorge Figueroa.

Very kind of you... I'll take you up on your offer on another time. I would have to ship my car on a trailer to go up there. Unfortunately, I have previous commitments and wouldn't be able to attend.

With that said, I don't have my F8 yet. I don't want to take the GT2 and my CLS 63s or GLE 63s aren't C&C worthy.

The drive may be (6 hour) "short".... but 10 East must be one of the most "short" boring-long, terrible drives that ever exists besides 15 North to Vegas. I just can't do it... Might as well tie up the steering wheel to a straight line pattern, put a rock on the gas pedal and go to sleep. I don't know if I hate that drive more than flying for straight 6 hours.

Let's keep in touch,,, I am up for an AZ experience and if you happen to swing by CA, let me know, I can gather a few of the guys and we could go to LA Crest or Lake Arrowhead drive.

I spent 32 years in LA. I go back often. Parents live in Woodland Hills. We usually spend a couple months in the summer in Malibu.

You want the engine reving up and down without going over 5,000 rpm. Lots of start stops at lights and not freeway constant speed and revs.

Also I would recommend auto until the oil is up to temp.

I understand that. What I want to know is why the up and down, stop and go...What is the rationale for that. As far as I understand, the settling of moving parts occurs by the routine use.

In addition, It is usually recommended to not go high RPM, regardless of manual or automatic, until the car is in full operating temperature, just like with the tires...
