You’re referring to the practice starts and not the pit stop, right? If that’s correct, that’s piss poor by Bono.

Looking at the replay, it seems they were trying to keep him clear of the drivers coming out of pit row, but they have to know the rules (or, you’d think they would)

Alpha Tauri seems to be Ferrari's rival for rest of the season. There wasn't anything lucky though, it was a racing incident. Charles didn't "push" money kid, both took the sharpest line out of the corner they possibly could and neither was willing to back down. Stroll could have moved a fraction later and they wouldn't have touched, there was room on the outside for him to drive.

I'm not ''proven wrong''. Lewis made his mistakes yesterday and today, which led to the result. If he was sure that pitting when he did wasn't going to work, he could've said so, and not steered his car into the pitlane. And who would've received the blame when his tyres ran out and he lost 5 seconds sliding all over the place? Bono again?

Lewis made the mistake doing practice starts where it isn't allowed. Twice. It's not a mystery it isn't allowed, all other drivers did it from the proper place. Lewis made the mistake in qualifying that made it necessary to go out again.

How is Bono to blame for 3 of Lewis' mistakes?

It's typical for Lewis to always publicly blame the team that has given him 60 or so wins.

Well, he's making the most of it.

But, to be honest, it was obvious that Charles wasn't going to be able to keep up with Ric.
Both Ocon and Kvyat should have been able to overtake the Ferrari, but they got so wrapped up fighting with each other that neither could close on Charles.
    6th was a bit of a gift.
In the post-race, you could see Charles saying, "'ll take it." :p

Vettel fighting to hold off Kimi. ;)

Well, Leclerc pushed Stroll´s rear right with his front left: he didn´t own the position.

Neither "owned" any position, how can he push Stroll when it's Stroll's rear right that actually hit Charles' front left? (Just look at the tire positions).

Charles did the best he could. Vettel is thinking about driving a green colored car next year. Max did the max. Suprised Hammy could not catch up to Max.

Mmm... well, I guess I´ll have to watch a replay.

Anyway, it played in our favour and right now we´re not in a position that allows the luxury of the fair play, so I´m not complaining either.

Hammy was within 7 seconds of Max with about 8 laps to go. Then he slowed to about 10 seconds, and finally 22 seconds at the completion of the race. Sky said he was told to take it easy to save the engine.

He should have kept his mouth shut until the post-race briefing and then reamed Bono and the team in private. He can wait until the next race to try and tie Michael.

Not anymore so than any other turbo-hybrid race since 2014 that I can remember, they all kind of blend together as a snooze fest. At least Crofty yells and screams doing his best Murray Walker impression trying to pretend that what we are watching is riveting...

Ham whining “Show me where it says that in the rule book!” Er, it was in the pre-event notes of the race director and which obviously all the other drivers were aware of—even Crofty knew the details.

Maybe was to busy tweeting or IG’ing for his adoring fans or complaining again about how “horrible” his qualifying was.

Meantime, both Max and Charles racing out of their skins and putting their respective teammates 6 or 7 places behind.

He was good even as a rookie in his first season with TR. Misstep at RBR but maybe trying too hard.

Kvyat was never really good and don’t understand why he’s still around.

Hamilton: I don't really... I need to go back and see what the rules are and see exactly what I did wrong. I am pretty sure that no-one has got two 5 second time penalties for something so ridiculous before.

Hamilton: We didn't put anyone in danger, I have done this at a million of tracks and never been questioned about it. But it is what it is. [Plenty being harsh] Of course it is... they are trying to stop me. I just need to keep my head down and see what happens.

Wolff: No, and that was exactly the verdict from the stewards. They said it's not the place where you do a race start and I agree with that. BUT in the directors notes it says you can make practice starts after the lines on the right hand side and that is what he did.

Wolff: There is room for interpretation and we need to analyse why we made the mistake all together and take this one on the chin. We were at the starts but we agree to disagree.

Wolff: I think Lewis has faced a lot of adversity in his life and to all of us the penalty seems harsh. Never before and pre-race reconnaise lap infringement beat pitlane speeding was penalized with an inrace penalty.

Wolff: So, that is new and that could be debated. I think things go against him harshly sometimes and I think if you are the more successful driver you have to take that sometimes.

Wolff: Like we always have done in the past. We win and lose together. We analyze what we could have done better and what we can do better in the future.

Wolff: Nevertheless as a team we have to be happy with 1 and 3. I am happy for Valtteri... a race win is a race win.

Two license points penalty for Hamilton. He already has 10 points of 12.

Compare to whiny HAM response. Can never admit he’s wrong. And now he’s convinced they’re out to get him. This is persecution complex being displayed on a weekly basis now.

Stroll: 'Ridiculous' that Leclerc wasn't penalised for Sochi crash

    Image Unavailable, Please Login

Lance Stroll has hit out at the stewards’ ’ridiculous’ decision not to penalise Charles Leclerc following their collision on the opening lap of the Russian Grand Prix.

Stroll was eliminated from the race after he came together with Leclerc on the exit of Turn 4, which spun him into the wall.

It marked Stroll’s second consecutive race retirement, after he crashed at Mugello two weeks ago when he sustained a puncture.

Leclerc, who went on to finish the race in sixth place, escaped punishment for the incident – an outcome that Stroll disagrees with.

“I’m quite surprised that he didn’t get a penalty,” Stroll said. “I gave him plenty of room, I did the whole corner on the outside and he just tagged my right rear.

“I mean, I gave him all the room I could. It was unlucky but he could’ve avoided it, he didn’t have to run so wide into me.

‘So yeah, it’s kind of ridiculous that he didn’t get a penalty.”

When asked what he thought what he could’ve achievement during the race, the Canadian replied: “I think a lot was possible, I think we were seventh at that point.

“I had a great start. We were on a good tyre, so it’s a real shame.”

Stroll’s team-mate Sergio Perez crossed the finish line in fourth place, taking his best result of the season.

Racing Point currently sits fourth in the Constructors’ Championship, two points behind McLaren.

Charles is lucky not to be penalised for this incident with Lance. It's similar to the Lewis and Alex incident in Austria and Lewis got a 5-second penalty and 2 penalty points
