Sort of what I expected

Interesting to see Trump get upset when Biden questioned his intelligence - all of the other criticisms went through to the keeper but Trump was not happy when that put down from Biden

No doubt Fox will say it was Trump at his best and CNN will say that Biden showed he is every bit as combative as Trump - I wonder if they will keep up the sleepy Joe name calling

Trump won the debate hands down. I'll try to list the issues and arguments like Joe Friday - just the facts.

1. Supreme Court Pick - Trump - still the President, and the Senators are still seated until after the new year. They have the constitutional authority to appoint a Supreme Court Justice.

Biden was trying to argue that people voting now will not have a say. Strawman argument. They will have a say in the next four years. Biden was also saying that Roe vs. Wade was on the ballot, which is false.


2. Healthcare - Here Biden claims that 100 million people in the US ( which is 1 out of 3 people) have pre-existing healthcare conditions. This is total nonsense as Trump pointed out.

Trump claimed that Biden would destroy the private health care industry with a public option - which is true. Why pay for healthcare insurance when the government is providing it for free ?


3. Packing the court - This was brought up by Democrats, and Biden refused to answer the question.


4. Covid 19 - The moderator starts with the false premise that 200,000 people in the US have died from Covid 19. And that this is the most of any country in the world.

This is a political gift for Biden to blame it all on Trump, which he tried to.

The fact is, the CDC has reported that only 6% of the 200,000 deaths were from Covid 19 alone. The other 94% also had Cancer, or heart disease, or were run over by a car, etc. Also, as Trump pointed out, you're not going to get real numbers from Communist countries like China, and Russia on their Covid 19 deaths.


5. Trump's tax payments - First of all Federal law in the US makes an individuals tax returns private, and confidential. I don't see how anyone can demand to see someone else's tax returns, when it's illegal. The moderator, quoting a fake NYT article asked trump if he only paid $750.00 in income tax.

Trump responded that he paid millions in taxes, and that Biden was partially responsible for the tax code, by being in the Congress for the past 47 years.

Biden responded by saying he would eliminate Trump's tax cuts. Tax cuts have historically improved the US economy.


6. The Economny - Biden touted the increase in manufacturing jobs, (which Trump is actually responsible for).

Trump pointed out that when Obama/Biden were in power, they said that manufacturing jobs would not be coming back. In fact Biden told coal miners that they should learn how to code (write computer programs).


7. Social Unrest - Here the idiot moderator asks Trump to condemn white supremacist groups in the US, and mentions the Proud Boys as an example. In fact the Proud Boys are not white supremacists, and include many Asians, Latinos, and Blacks in their membership.

Trump pointed out correctly that it was the left-wing groups that were rioting, looting, and burning down buildings. Antifa, BLM, Anarchists, etc.

Biden then claimed that Blacks in the US were being discriminated against in school, at work, and in the justice system.

This is completely false. What you have are groups who want to claim victimhood in order to get free stuff. Including looting their local Rolex store, and Mercedes Benz dealerships.


8. Law & Order - Biden claimed to support police, when in fact it is Democrat Mayors, and Governors, who are allowing violence in their cities, and defunding, and abolishing police departments.

Trump touted official support from police organizations.


9. Election Fraud - Biden claims that it does not exist. Trump claims that it's rampant.

Watch the Project Veritas videos of election fraud in MN. If leftists are known for anything, it's rigging elections. This is their specialty.

 

Well written #4 The States also need to take much of the blame re the virus deaths .No different to here with the Victorian mess.

Yes - I thought Biden performed better than Trump said he would

I also thought Trump would have been able to hammer home some of his popular policies for the next term but I missed hearing any of that amongst his braggadocio

I didn’t see or hear anything that I thought would push a swinging voter towards Trump

It will be interesting to see if the moderator at the next event is able to turn it into anything more than a train wreck

I think the moderator should be able to switch on and off the mics. If they are going to act like children treat them like children and tell them to raise their hands to speak

 

If the Dims win then I have little doubt that she will be the nominee for the next election
