Is that the damaged Aussie car?

Lm bodied one above looks to be a Japanese modified road car.

I think the damaged F40 in Australia had less damage than this on the driver’s side. Pictures online appear to show that the door mirror was missing on that one too and the rear wing on this latest one seems to be intact. I think this is a different incident.

That's not 300k pounds on damages. Car body is fiber glass, chassis is tubular with simple shapes (can be cut and rewelded).

    The body is not Fiberglass.

I often hear people generalize that the F40's body is Fiberglass, but in fact the panels of the F40 are a varied mixture of a weave of Carbon Fiber, Kevlar, and Nomex, which are in fact lighter than Fiberglass, but also, significantly more expensive. Fiberglass is quite different from what the F40 is made up of.

Remember also, the composite body panels are in many internal areas as well, such as inside the doors, the cabin floor, the engine bay and the door sills.

If the aforementioned F40 panels are extensively or even slightly damaged in the accident, most of them will have to be replaced and the the cost of complete repairs considering parts, labor and finishing will be six figures in my experienced opinion.

I should also add that the chassis is not entirely tubular nor is it as simple as some say, accident repair requires an expert coach-builder and perhaps a chassis jig. The main chassis of the F40 is made from oval-section tubular steel and also square & rectangular sections for the important sub-assemblies such as the front and rear sub-frames. Accident damage will be expensive to repair correctly depending of course on how extensive the damage is.
