    Great post!

I'm sure I'm also not alone in lurking & enjoying reading about & seeing lots of foodstuffs, many of which I've never read about, let alone seen before.

Definitely would not have tried quinoa without your inspiration!

Tonight, the last of those Albertson's chuck steaks. Thanks goodness that's over! [emoji2]

My dad took me out for sushi (sashimi) and rolls. He was craving a Japanese seafood Udon (soup), so he decided we should go.

A group of McLaren owners there, five of them in the parking lot. Not good on their models, but one was a 720S.

    yup, have you been?

Last night went out to the main square for dinner, where it all had a "what covid" feel. Food was yummy traditional Polish food - smoked mountain cheese with cranberry sauce, pork cutlet pounded thin with braised cabbage, potato pancakes with mushroom sauce. (not my bride in the pics, but she walked by as I was snapping the sunset from our dinner seats and I thought the pic was particularly cool)

Broccoli and cheese soup. Carrot, broccoli, onion, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Sweat them. Add broth. Simmer. Blitz with a stick blender. Add cheese. Simmer. Blitz again.

Soup making weather? Thought Texas would still be nice and warm. It was 70 here yesterday. Clouded over today, but I'm still in shorts. I decided Sunday is my diet cheat day. I'll get a bacon cheeseburger at White Spot.

It's been cool - by our standards - in the morning. Mid - low 50s. Perfect driving and soup making weather. [emoji2] This morning I was getting my rally driving freak on in the wife's old pickup truck on some unpaved backroads!

Kind of looked like this! Actually, I did get the truck sideways once going into a turn, but don't tell the missus. Then home to make a batch of soup for dinner.

    I got a new toy!
My thermometer broke so I ran out and picked up a Meater+
    I really like it.
Right before wrapping pork at 160 to a 195 finish
I removed from heat at 195 and wrapped in towels in a cooler until we ate it 8 hours layer. It was still hot when I pulled it apart and the most succulent I’ve managed to date!

In the 80s. Still not cool enough, but better than 95s.
