That would be amazing if true. As even the Tubi seem to have occasional (but rare) failures, and that should make them truly bullet proof.

I think Ken(shineken) posted it. Obviously more expensive but might be worth it.

They offer an inconel version for the 360/430. No reason they couldn’t make one for the 355. They already have the jig. I was told with a few orders they would be willing to do it.

I agree Ken. Once you have the jig built it is just a matter of switching materials.

I have never heard or seen anyone mention Larini headers. I have seen their mufflers.
They look to be nicely made with an interesting looking Inconel heat shield.

Are they 421? Can’t really tell from the photo- I have their 2ndary bypass and it’s nicely made.

They are using 316 s/s. The Inconel heat shield looks nice, different than what most of the heat shields I have seen look like, but interesting. Kind of like a ceramic coating and heat shield melded into one. Their muffler looks to be nicely made as well.

I like what I’m reading. Should I take one for the team?

Kline headers are Inconel and nicely made. But they are 4-1. Look at his driving vids. His low end power appears to be lacking.

The larini's sound nice. Would like to know the tubing diameter/lengths. They seem almost too cheap for the material and heat shielding used.

Rather strange that as shown they wouldn't even bolt on without removing the oil drains from the cylinder head.

It also states the length and diameter are increased. I would want to know how much the diameter and length are increased and how it would it effect the whole exhaust system.

Whats the cheat sheet on header configuration? Where do 4-1 excel? What are other setups? What are tubi? What are capristo?

Since most header manufacturers don’t have a dyno comparison between theirs and the factory manifolds, we make generalizations based people’s experiences for specific cars. We try to make performance guesses judging by the way the header was configured. Thickness, how it merges, how that might affect gas velocities at certain rpm ranges etcc..

Fabspeed has come on here and said their 4-1 design sacrifices some low/midrange power for top power. That’s fine if that’s what you want. I prefer not to lose in an area that was weak to begin with. Then there’s sound variations that aren’t shown on a dyno graph. It seems some high pitch F1 sound is lost with the 4-1’s.

Not all 4-1’s sacrifice low/mid power for top. If designed well enough, it can improve in all ranges versus stock. But without the dyno graph comparison, we can only rely on user feedback. Which is why you keep seeing me say, “take one for the team.”

Your Tubi headers are 4-2-1. You’re good. You should have no power loss vs oem in any range. There is some slight power gains as well. Not sure where though. 4-2-1 is the “safe” bet as that is what OEM is and a reputable manufacturer would be a fool to design similar and actually make it perform worse.

Capristo has a dyno graph for their 360/430 header and if I recall correctly, it was done on a Scud. It showed a nice power pick up in the midrange and some in the top range. There’s a thread on it here. That’s why I chose Capristo (4-2-1) vs the others for the Scud. I’ve never seen a 4-1 header dyno graph for 360/430 show low/mid range gains. Larini’s 430 manifold appears to be 4-1 and I found it interesting they claimed increased low/mid range without any mention of top end increases. I hit them up on instagram to see if they can provide any dyno graphs. Also, from feedback from the 430 guys, it there doesn’t seem to be F1 sound loss. I’ve driven an F430 with AP headers (4-1), 200 cell cats, open valved Kriessieg X-pipe muffler and it sounded pretty F1 to me. It was on the quieter side to me though. 25% more volume increase would have made it perfect for me.

do you think a capristo 3 and s line sound similar with 4-1 headers and 200 cell cats on a 360/430?
on the f355 i may switch to capristo muffler.

    * On a side note. Big Baller TTForce here just purchased the infamous GATED 430 Scuderia and is on the hunt for some headers (there’s a thread on it in the 360/430 section), which is why I sidetracked a bit and brought up 360/430 headers.

Do it!! They look cool one of us should try them.

We should somehow formalize some of the product comparisons.. heat readings before/after and sound clips etc.

I am pretty sure they are a 4-2-1 configuration. Sorry for the reply above, I thought the 421 was a typing error and was supposed to be 321 regarding what type of stainless steel was used.

Larini headers are 4-2-1. Approximate gains are 7bhp, 9lb/ft torque.

    So who’s in?
