    I used the same wrinkle paint as the valve covers. I taped off the lines and the horses and sprayed them silver .

    Definately gets mixed reviews. Red plenums are a staple of every modern Ferrari, with the exception of the 355.
    Not sure why, but Id like to think Ferrari would make them red if they made the 355 still.

    The main issue with the red in the engine bay of the 355 is that the pieces are not all crinkle finish metal... They are plastic. As Elliott in Australia tells me, only HK and UK got metal plenums on our model.

    So smooth RED plastic can feel funny compared to the crinkle red metal on all the other models... And it seems most of the classic Ferrari's had red accents rather than entire pieces being solid red. The solid red plenums came with the 360, 430, 458 - the newer cars.

    And if you have too much red because there are no seams or edges to stop at, then it can have a problem looking a bit too much to other Ferrari owners. The general public probably doesn't even notice, but if you like it, go for it. If selling, it may as you said, get mixed reviews.

    This can also be an issue with red airboxes, or red silicone hoses... I'm not saying oem is the only way to go, But red in the 355 engine bay other than the valve covers can be seen as a bridge too far.

    I was at my shop today and they had a Scud and Enzo in... Only black plenums. They looked super. 250, 275, and most non-modern models I think most were black or silver only with occasional red accents for plenums. Maybe we should consider the 355 in that zone before modern arrived - hence not solid red plenums. But I agree with you that any car Ferrari puts out today or a 355 remade in today's era is going to have a lot of red front and center.
