812 VS Rumors

Do you know, as to when exactly the 1:1 presentations for the 812VS in Maranello will take place?

The day after Finali Mondiali or sometime in December?

 

If one didn’t get an invitation to this presentation, does that translate to practically no chance of getting an allocation?

 

I would say close to impossible, yes. Might be a super slim chance of dealer pushing you in if some qualified buyers on allocation list would decline their offer.

Btw. has anyone on here already received an invite?

I won't ask which elements since you probably won't say it, but my guess is on the rear diffuser

 

Isnt the rear diffuser the same than of the 812?

 

Its similar but there are differences. My guess is the vertical vent behind the front wheel. At least that is what has been hinted in the earlier posts on this thread.

My dealer told me the same, next year

 

If in-person (1:1) is important, it will be indefinitely postponed due to various international travel restrictions of either going to Italy or returning from Italy (virus quarantines).

The factory needs to find an alternative to in-person...

kind of makes me curious to see a standard 812 with the front grill surround painted in a body color.

That’s the opening on the back window and the camouflaged/protected air spoiler at the back under the car that are « strange »...

And the photographer wrote "Special Project" in the caption on Instagram. Still not sure about the nature of this car, if It's indeed a SP (unlikely in my opinion) or a simply a test mule.

It looks like a mule for testing aero stuff such as the back window. Just a guess.

 

I agree, looks like a test mule for potential aero/tech upgrades to me as well..

And It's always nice to speculate a bit about Ferrari mules, can't wait for more spy shots/vids to emerge from people around Maranello!

PS: I was watching the last SCD video with Tom Hartley and the rumours of a "VS Aperta" reached him too!

My wish list,
- high availability on the coupe (aperta as the less than 1000 one)
- higher max rev and even more of a high pitch scream
- lighter weight
- even more performance focus tuning
