    Not the prettiest picture, but?

NY Strip was done in Sous Vide at 124 F for about 3 hours, then just a bit of sear/smoke. Lobster tails were pretty small, but also grilled & served with clarified butter, and were fantastically rich & sweet!. Veggies included broccoli, brussels sprouts, carrots, and squash (all splashed with olive oil, and dusted with "Italian seasoning" and some good parmesan.

Sure enjoyed my plate, and wife sure loved hers (though, she didn't pair hers with the Cab...)

All this talk of pho got me hankering some "faux pho". I had a chicken carcass from our smoking efforts over the weekend.
So, I made a broth from that. Added a few Calabrian chili peppers, thinly sliced red onions, and basil.
Added in ramen noodles (chuck out the flavor packet). Let it steep for 2 -3 mins, stir. Enjoy.

I'm in the midst of freezer emptying as well. Wife is convinced we're gonna have another corona bump. I just think she likes shopping at Costco.

Another soup from the other night. Wheeled out the garage queen Mauviel copper pot.

Turnips, a whole yellow onion, 5 big cloves of garlic, salt and pepper, garlic powder (can't be too garlicky!). Sweat. Add in homemade chicken broth. Simmer.

Was good topped with some shaved parmesan cheese, a side salad and a Kendall Jackson cab sauv...T

Tried getting my dad and brother to try a Mexican restaurant with me. But neither was interested. I'm craving Mexican but don't feel like eating alone in a restaurant. I'll just get fish tacos take out.

Much better finish than mine - I started too late and not used to the early sunset so finished in the dark. I really need a light for the egg. I have ideas, just need to do it, or start earlier!

Bogle was pretty decent. At least, it was quite palatable when I first opened the bottle. Had been sitting a couple days with a vacuum seal before surf & turf night, so wasn't quite as tasty, but still went well with the steak.

Felt like a rare cheeseburger. So made one myself. Bella gets the left over hamburger meat. Was going to snap a pic, but left phone in the truck. Didn't feel like getting it!

    Pizza last night.
Put some sliced Calabrian pepper on there. After 2+ seasons, we finally got a plant that is producing, so I'm going to milk it for all its worth.

    Today was quite warm!

Was out in a sweater but the soups here are starting to turn my soup craving. Some good stuff.
