Hi all Wonderful community here! Have been lurking around for a while and finally got my first Ferrari last week. All is well with the car but I found a small piece on the floor today I can’t figure out. Any ideas what this might be? Thanks in advance! While I’m at it, this also came with the car though no idea what it might be? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks like some sort of heat-shield? You will get A LOT more responses if you post this in the 308 Model Forum, btw.
That small piece you find is called the micro reactor, that’s the one that generates power to the battery and sends signal to the alternator via flux capacitor. Welcome and congrats!
Hi Rob I notice you’re an admin here. Is it possible to maybe move my post to the 308 Model Forum? Or shall I just repost there? Didn’t want to clutter the forum if there’s a way to move a thread. Thanks Erol
I wouldn't be surprised if this was a carpet- or interior-designated plastic rivet, especially if you found it laying in the foot well. GORGEOUS car! i know some consider these a bit quirky, but I think they are just so incredibly cool looking.
Erol, where are you located? I ask because I’m in NE Conn and a West Coast car like yours landed here recently. John
Another newbie question! Filled the tank today and noticed some heavy leaking on the passenger side tank. Not while idling but after I filled the tank and took a drive, pulled over bc of the smell and saw the pool pictured in the first shot. Is the third hose in the second and third pictures an overfill valve of some kind that I could have tripped by overfilling the tank? It stopped after driving for 20 min or so and doesn’t seem to be leaking anymore. My fuel gauge isn’t working so I may have overfilled. Hoping that’s the issue Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Also pls disregard the Pinin badge. No idea why that’s on there but plan on replacing w the correct Bertone badge! If anyone knows of a good vendor for those, would appreciate the help!
That is a dangerous situation. if any of that fuel gets on a hot exhaust manifold it will cause a fire. Rather the car is Idling or shut off! Time for new hoses.
Erol, I’m the guy who suggested to Steve that you attend to your Webers. Glad it worked. I’m in Tolland and have an 82 911SC, but also spent many years praying at the Church of Alfa. I’m so glad for you, I’d take a GT4 over a GTB/S.
Alright thank you for that! Great recommendation that worked out perfectly! next order of business seems to be a new clutch unfortunately! Slipping under load in 3rd 4th and 5th ght
Welcome Erol! Great looking car! Your car looked strangely familiar....like I'd seen it before on another blog... I was right. sjd
