The C8 will be an amazing value when you can actually buy one without a dealersh1t tacking $20K onto the sticker price.

Did anyone else notice how crumpled the front trunk lining was? I asked if it had been in an accident, and the owner said no. But I don't think those would have gotten that saggy/broken down if they hadn't been removed and replaced, at the very least. Thoughts?

Wow, surprised at that result as well. F1s are obviously still soft, but that was a very nice car in a great color combo.

BaT made up the gap to 70, which was reserve.
In my opinion the F1s are the cars to speculate on now because they are low, but they will eventually be sought after. There are many different manual transmission cars out there and 10x more Ferraris, but the F1 in the 355 is different from every other paddle shift car. If you have not owned one or don't understand them, you won't get it. It's a unique experience in a fabulous package and I am truly gutted to have to let this one go as it is everything I wanted. But life sometimes deals you cards you have to play. At the end of the day, first world problems!

Happy and sad all at the same time.

Congrats....and your comments on the 355 F1 are exactly correct.
People that have never driven them seem to be the ones to complain about it. The F1 in this car is unlike any other.

Make sure to stop in here from time to time OK? :)

    You should lose your soul.
There are plenty of gated cars, and there are 360s and 430s you can convert to improve. But leave the damn 355s out of this!

Disagree 100% since a proper conversion can be brought back to factory spec.

There are already three C8's running around my town.

Next year at this time they will be as common as a Mustang and no one will even notice them.

That is a great car and the buyer seems to have gotten a screaming deal. I agree that the F1's are also nice and low production always equals being sought after. Good luck with your ventures and will look forward to your return to ownership.

I agree, that car went much lower than it should of. IMO it's not an indicator of the market, but rather the luck of the draw with auctions.
That buyer could have been ready to pay a 120k for that car, but if there's no one there to challenge him, he makes out like a bandit.
I just sold an item on Sotheby's, sold for about half of what was estimated. Sucks.
Maybe the other bidders took the wife out for dinner, maybe they got stuck at work, who's knows.
I remember back in college, I would always check on eBay what was ending on Christmas or Thanksgiving etc, you could find some crazy deals on people that mistakenly had their auctions end when nobody was watching.
But this result certainly reminds me to calculate this today vs the reward before deciding to send to auction.

I also agree with this assessment. I think that timing of the auction definitely played a big part of the sold price. However, I think that if the mileage is a bit lower, it can definitely make a different too...

I'm noticing a lot more 355's popping up for sale across the pond. Maybe just that time of the year / end of driving season in colder climates.

Prices seem to be bit lower than in the summer. Berlinettas and GTS's only I'm looking at...

Always a lot of cars on mobile.de About a 50/50 split between "coupes" and "roadsters" but the GTS is lumped in with the spiders as a "roadster". So you have to conclude mostly Couples and GTS for sale. Prices all over the place regardless of model. Doesn't seem like one model favored over another. Very different market than the US.
