    Look for the channel pointing upwards on the sides to recognize an F12.

    It's not a 612 because the side scoop just forward of the shield is not present on a 612, but is present in a 599.

    I dont think the F12 look anything like a 599 which does not look like a 612 at all.

    Yes, but I think the F12 does look quite a bit like the 612.

    Definitely an F12. ;)

    Just as Taz said, there's no mistaking that unique upward rising channel from the driver's door to the left front fender which no other Ferrari design has. It boggles me that this car could be mistaken for a 612, much less a 599. Another clue is the design of the outer door mirror housings.

    They're such different Pininfarina designs as the different original lead designers of those three cars were: Ken Okuyama for the 612, Jason Castriota for the 599, and Flavio Manzoni for the F12 (in collaboration with Pininfarina).

    The F12, FF, and the California T were the last Pininfarina designs in collaboration with Flavio Manzoni after full establishment of the Ferrari Centro Stile (Styling Center) soon after the passing of Sergio Pininfarina on 3 July 2012.

    That's a typical progression for Ferrari when they incorporated their chosen body/chassis maker Carrozzeria Scaglietti (which joined Ferrari at Fiat in the late 60's) was fully taken over and absorbed by Ferrari after the magnificent Enzo collaborator, designer and coach builder Sergio Scaglietti retired in the mid-80's.

    Thus, the magic continues! :cool:

    The rear quarter window is where the similarity is with the 612. The 599, with the flying buttresses, is completely different in the rear 3/4 view.
