    Many here on Ferrari Chat knew or knew of Randy. He was an avid Ferrari collector and participant in the local Missouri & Southern Illinois Chapter of the Ferrari Club of America. He was also a significant benefactor to his home town of Edwardsville, Illinois. Tragically, early this year Randy was murdered.

    As a way to recognize Randy we will be having this event. We are still working on a lot of the details so look for updates.

    This is an event open to everyone and all cars. There will be selected special cars on the grass at Sunset Hills Country Club. There will also be groups have "home bases" along the cruise route through Edwardsville.

    I anyone plans to enter a car in the display, versus doing the cruise, please register on the event website. The field arrangement will be set by car types and club groups - not open parking.

    Join us!
    An epic day with legions of cars & motorcycles representing all types and eras whether cruising along the streets of Edwardsville/Glen Carbon using portions of Route 66 or on display at Sunset Hills Country Club.


    Cruise
    Bring out your car and join in on the fun of driving the cruise route. There will be over 19 designated “home base” locations along the route for the different car groups to hang out at. Check the website for the full list of locations along the route.

    There is no charge to drive in the cruise or attend any of the home bases as a participant or spectator.

    Car Show
    Up to 400 cars and motorcycles of all types, makes, models & years will be displayed on the grass at Sunset Hills Country Club. All interests will be represented that span antiques, classics from the 1920s and 30s, post war, American muscle, sports cars and current exotics.

    Register candidate vehicles on the website. There is no charge for vehicle entries in the car show

    A limited quantity of General Admission tickets are available at $10.00. Advance on-line purchases can be made on the website.

    There will be a broad assortment of cars in the show. 0733GT, 1957 250 TdF has committed as well as an F40. Other notables include a Bloomington Gold Survivor 1963 split window, serial number 6 of the new mid engine Corvette, first year tri-power GTO convertible, some GTRs, some Lamborghinis, a McLaren Senna, 4 CCCA cars and a whole bunch more.

    Anyone that knows the latest information isn't talking. From the time of the arraignment I was told that it still had not been determined how there was any connection of the perp and Randy.

    I just realised that Randy Gori was the user Randy on Ferrarichat. He was such a passionate Ferrari fan and generous with sharing his collection and experiences here. What sad news.

    I sold Randy my 1986 Ferrari 412 that still resides in his collection. He will be sorely missed by the FChat community. Our thoughts and prayers to his family.

    You only get one shot at a trial like that......

    It's almost more comforting to me to reconcile it as "random and senseless," as it would be to link it to his former wife or anyone else....and the profile of the "camper in the woods" makes me feel it's unlikely some one would send him , for a hit.
