There was a F430 6 speed conversion for sale on BAT, higher miles, red, that didn't sell. Anyone know about this car? Sent from my LM-G710VM using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Excited for art and dan (ngsc). you can’t do everything by yourself.... I’ll be hitting them up if I do a swap car project.
It is good to hear EAG responding, albeit obliquely, to criticism over customer management. At least that's how I interpret what Art is saying in that video. Clearly with Dan going into business with EAG on the Gated6 venture, his views are now no longer impartial on the subject, but hopefully with him working in the background the supply issues can get ironed out quickly. Best of luck to them. Curious about the "unnamed investor"... wonder if it's someone who visits here often?
not me, i dont mix hobby and business, if thats what you are insinuating. i have spoken to both guys and think this is a great idea fwiw.
I wasn't thinking exclusively about you, though clearly you would be a prominent candidate . It does interest me simply because if I was the investor, then I would be putting some pressure on EAG to manage their PR a bit better. Fully accept that you're acting in good faith and doing what you can to help both EAG and FChatters (so not trying to take anything away from you), but it shouldn't be down to you to perform this service for them.
thats fair. honestly outside of posting here all i did was give Art some constructive feedback and advice. i connected a cple dots. i think its a great product for the f car community. I'm excited as a customer.
I want them to succeed ... purely as a car nerd. I’ve met Dan and art .... good guys... real car guys. funny thing—/ this product almost sells itself... inspite of this Train wreck thread.... people cont to line up for the gated experience. Imagine what they can do w legit pr!!!
Conversion was $29k all in, parts and labor. Car had 36k miles, sold for like $91k [emoji30] Dan's new website says you should budget 100 to 140 hours of Labor. You can see e a g charged $5000 in labor. Owner only drove it like 800 miles according to BAT. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my LM-V350 using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Didn't you have a law suit against Art due to him using your car for parts without your permission? ....or something like that?
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2005-ferrari-f430-28/ This car didn’t sell as it was poorly represented in both pictures and communication from the seller.
Oh yes I commented on that. At 91 the seller wld have gotten all his money back for the conversion. Thats a 60k car in f1
Please send me all the 3x,xxx mile clean title, mechanically good 430’s for 60k and I’ll give you a $5,000 finders fee for each and every car.
PPW - agreed.... not seeing these $60K F430's.......... at any mileage..... for sale today???? point me in the right direction.
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2006-ferrari-f430-2/ https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2005-ferrari-f430-2/ so where is a 39k mile low optioned car?
http://atcm.co/S2PVDP/21932ee7 This is the cheapest 430 on autotrader. A grey/black 2006 coupe with 34,000 miles for $89,900 (no Carfax available so don’t know about accidents).
that car is worth 67 to 73...89 gets you much lower miles and spider asking prices are not worth much.
Both of those were “reserve not met” meaning they didn’t sell. If there is a 430 that runs at a Copart auction in rural Iowa and bidding stalls at $41,000 but doesn’t sell, that doesn’t mean the value of the car (or the market for any other cars) is $41,000.
Well, when the cheapest car advertised is $89,900, I find it hard to believe that it’s worth 2/3 of that, as it would mean the entire rest of the market is overvalued too. Either way, if you’re saying there are clean title, mechanically sorted, good colored, f430’s for 60k, please send them all my way. As another so crudely stated, apparently my car is a total pos, so for 60k I’ll replace it a few times over. Also, worth mentioning, I decided to do the conversion because I thought it was neat, not because I expected any return in value. Which if they get someone in there who will be honest, forthcoming, not curse at customers over the phone, threaten to not finish their car, add $5,000 fees for speaking out, and would keep even remotely close to deadlines, etc, I would absolutely recommend this. I think it’s a great way to spend 20k and will make for a ton of fun on an already fun car! Another thought for them, given that they have to pull much of the car apart, I’d think they should offer headers and capristo brackets as apart of the install. Headers is about 3.5-4hrs once it’s all apart (maybe less, I’m basing that if you were doing just a clutch) vs 8hrs if you were doing them alone, and the exhaust bracket is 0 hours as the exhaust is off the car anyway. They could also advertise doing a clutch at the same time as that is 0 extra time too. Little things like this would bring a good bit of additional value to potential customers and make many more likely to spend the money. Just a constructive thought from the peanut gallery....
https://bringatrailer.com/ferrari/f430/ The chart on this page shows where the auctions have ended on both sold and RNM cars. I would have loved to have found a $60k F430 when I was looking. I actually did see one for that amount not too long ago but it was a silver car with high miles and an air ride suspension and other mods on it which appeared to have devalued it quite a bit.
