Carbon body or carbon wrap 16M?

Was poking around on Ferrari Pre-approved website last night & stumbled across this. Is this an actual carbon body (& wheels) or some sort of wrap or applique? Not that I can remotely afford it, just curious. If it is an actual carbon body, that may justify the price.

It's real carbon but laminated over the original body, so given the design ethos of the lightweight series it is a strange thing to do.

 

Interesting, but personally not a fan. Looks hydro dipped.

Looks very similar to this Challenge Stradale with the same bordeaux red color carbon fiber body. The black stripes are also very similar. The CS is described as “Carbon Fiber exterior 'package' by Carrozzeria Zanasi”.

Seems ambitious!

 

Strange, as "cool" as it looks, it doesn't look good.

 

Lot's of history on this car. It was originally black CF and the owner sent the car back to Italy and changed the CF to red . A very storied car but not a positive one.

 

The CF is a sticker. Hardly needs to be shipped to Italy for a color swap.

 

I spoke to a salesman about the car and that's what I was told unless he was misinformed.

 

Or unless he was trying to sell you a car.

 

He said the car was sent back to Zanasi since the owner wasn't happy with the way the 16M in black carbon had aged.

If it's important to you give him a call and see what he says to you as well. Given your perceived sarcasm from my perspective you should at least hear what he has to say, as I did, and share with us what you learn:

It's not important to me. I know how cars work. I know they never made a carbon fiber 16M.

 

If I had this kind of money, I would get an Audi Sport Quattro that came with real carbon kevlar body panels.

price has dropped a fair amount, but still $$$$$$

 

Only 445 miles on the odometer? Wow. I would've figured after pimping their ride like that they would put on more miles showing it off. I guess they decided just to keep it for their eyes only.

 

Dumbest car ever. You can’t even call it a “mod” as it was not “modified”. It’s a f@#$ing sticker.
