So I didn’t think I would ever part with my beloved Performante, but my Lamborghini dealer just offered me a STO allocation and I think I am going to pull the trigger. I think the car will be absolutely bananas. Here are notable changes and features:
    • 330lbs lighter
    • 2wd
    • Fender louvers
    • Roof scoop
    • Magnesium wheels
    • Weaved carbon fiber inside and out
    • Carbon fiber body panels
    • Improved braking system
    • Styled after the Super Trofeo race car complete with the massive wing
    • Limited to around 700 (allegedly)
Here is the link to the formal reveal next week: https://www.lamborghini.com/en-en/3d

I’m not sure I can resist, as it perfectly suits my core mission: collecting best in class, end of era, ICE cars. I love the HP, but this car should exceed it decisively in the categories that matter to me, namely driving inspired emotion and drama.

Anyone else getting a STO? I know it won’t be the fastest car released in 2021, what with the old-fashioned normally aspirated V10, but it might well be the most pulse quickening.

I was told $350 MSRP before options. On my Performante, the total options were not very extensive. It came pretty loaded, but I managed to stuff about $40,000 worth of options on that car. I am figuring about the same this time around.

    Don't forget the fender louvres.

I am getting the STO, it'll be the market intro car which I spec'd with my dealer a few weeks ago. The car was already shown to dealers in Japan and from my contact told me the car basically looks the Huracan STO race car. I love the fact it'll have weaved carbon and decided to get all the exterior and interior carbon options.

I was actually thinking going with Blu Lemans (like the picture above), or possibly this spec:

Blu LeMans with matte clear wrap. ;) Matte paint cannot be corrected/polished. Can't polish out a scratch.

The full red interior looks a bit over the top, but it is a Lambo overall. Are there any Super Trofeo Lambos you like going back to their original 1990s Diablo Super Trofeo SVR cars? You could use a color scheme from one of the ones you like. The interior would likely be all black to make it look more race-car...

My Performante was Blu LeMans, amazing colour but not sure if it was worth $15k.

I like this plan too - you can do either satin level or matte level Clearbra on the whole car and get the protection and replaceable sections if anything does affect it. Here's a satin-wrapped TdF F8:

Just watched some videos on it....wow. If you have the means and an allocation, this seems like a no-brainer. Incredibly special car.

Looks like the front bumper/lower lip is part of the huge ($$$) front clam shell. I think there is also a lower splitter, but damage to the that lower, easy-to-damage bumper could be expensive.

Simply stunning! I'll go 'almost' with the same specs (outside).
