    One more photo, my MB 500 SL is in the background. It was a perfect chase car. Good times indeed, only 25 years ago. The poor guy in the F50 had no chance.

    I am not sure that this is 106715. I am certain that this car has not been repainted. I have seen these photos from Alex Penfold which quite clearly shows a weave that is viasble. This would not be the case if the car was repainted.

    I am not entirely sure of the origin of this plate. It does appear to have a similar style to a Guernsey plate, however the Guernsey plates are only numbered.

    If I recall correctly this car is owned by the chairman of Pagani UK

    the car has an illegal UK plate. It is mount on the old style black plate with silver letters - these plates are normally only used for classic cars in the UK.
    The lettering on the plate is also illegally spaced, it should read N1 WWN (space between the 1 and W). It is also missing the front plate which is illegal in the UK - the car should have white plate on the front and a yellow plate on the rear, both with black letters.

    The police are fairly relaxed about this, if you get pulled you will get at least a warning, if they play it by the book you will get a healthy fine and points on your licence.

    It looks to be down the west end of London, but given there is no traffic either very early in the morning or during the first lockdown.

    I am also under the impression there is a method of laying a weave pattern before the colour is applied, i.e. if the car has been painted to much and lost any visible weave - looking at the above close-up picture, that looks to be the case here, as that weave looks too course to be original - but I may be completely wrong - hard to tell from a photo, but is sure looks that way.

    It came out of Japan November 2015 and belongs to Mr. L., a major collector usually based in Jersey, Channel Islands.

    Indeed, here's 104262, a Tipo USA car, it all depends on the lighting and the camera lens, but based on my experience with looking at many F50s, I'd say that some cars have a more aggressive or textured weave than others.

    On the picture which includes the 3rd brake light aperture, was this factory fitted for USA cars or was this supplied by Ferrari NA, and are they made of carbon. ?
