what you hear in the videos is not the sound you imagine. The legal limit is 63 db of memory, and Ferrari must follow the imposed standard.
Remember the sound of an "outside" Pista accelerating: just a whistle.

63 db or not, you can definitely hear something which for my taste is more decent than the Pista. So it's not just a gearbox as you described.

Please reproduce. Abundantly. With a car that cool, I'd say it's a given. :)

Good question. I have had a Cali, Cali T, Speciale, 812SF, GTS and have F8 on order and I’m still not guaranteed anything from my dealer. It will be interesting to see what the criteria is or becomes.

I think feb for 1-1 previews ..... possibly online launch end Feb - I’ve got a feeling in my waters that by mid March we will have seen the coupe and Aperta with numbers /figures and invites - just a hunch +1

I suggest you talk about it again when the car arrives at the dealership, but you risk being disappointed

Why order a Cali and another one? Didn’t you learn the first time?

You've mentioned 812VS engine as ballistics (yay), any idea of the sound? I imagine it 812VS will have GPFs thinking how some have mentioned they prefer their SF sound to the GTS w/GPF

And yes I know even with GPF we will all take it over SF90 or F8. Lol

I assume you guys have seen that post 2022 EU cars will sound annoying alarms if you speed, they tried to actually slow the car, current proposal is an alarm. How on earth does a 2022 onward super car brand deal with that nanny state aspect. Cars become about features not performance then. And impinge the temptation to legislate a retrofit.

Covid has really given Govts especially socialist ones a dram Segway to nanny everything, either for green agenda or safety.

Will all end up the same at some point.

I also think that roaring round in your 812VS will just result in retro fit by Govts for sanction of loaded insurance premiums if one doesn’t.

Found this more recent article from a car retailer on a 1,541 sample of drivers who don't want a speed limiter. Will take a lot more than 1,541 drivers to make a dent in stopping significant legislation here.

    https://www.eurekar.co.uk/articles/2020-09-07/no--to-speed-limiter-plans

If the market of grumpy drivers is significant enough, then the market for hackers willing to perform services here will increase. After all, software delivery can be accomplished from anywhere in the world. And that can include jurisdictions where there are not limitations.

Enforced auto-pilot...the current user engaged car-centric auto-pilot doesn't even work well enough. Stick to speed cameras and detection technology. So this probably would need to be GPS based enforcement.

The ever tightening tension between rights of the individual vs. rights of the community. Welcome to our "AI overlords" already. They are just being assisted by politicians into existance.

In Chris Harris speak, "The whole world has gone mental."

Good point. I think petrol heads will be relegated to private properties. Now that I think about it, I should look into finding some land suitable for such use! :D

I haven't heard it spinning at high speed yet. I know they are still working at the factory to make the best sound possible.

I think post GPF cars may have advantage of being more likely to be allowed in Cities and urban areas no ?
