And you may take the STO over the Speciale 8 days a week. We are fortunate to have such choices.

    Guys who track know gt3/rs
Guys who cars and coffee know STO.
STO is a toy for show or a short run here or there so not much mileage or wear and tear happens. It would prove very costly to track. The Gt3 otoh can be run all day on circuit and driven home feeling like it hasnt been beat on. Im not sure you would want to test that on an StO other than perhapsfor a few laps here and there for fun or prove a point it can actuay be tracked. An average track day mileage for me is @250kms so it wouldnt take too many events before an STO would need to be moved on before it dropped a bomb valuewise or, wore something out which would cost a bomb to fix. This is where i question the value of the car and what you can actually do with it vs the more hardy better engineered gt3.

You cant have loved it too much then if you are trying to put it down as being a beetle. Nothing wrong with buying an STO if you have other cars to use for track but if buying it as a sole toy you couldnt possibly be planning on any serious track driving. The gt3 being a beetle is a clarkson throwoff and that guy is a jerk. I wouldnt be wanting to emulate that guy no matter how desperate i was to throw off at a car. The dude looks shot to ribbons as well so he cant even take care of himself least of all to be drawn upon as some kind of qualified opinion.

I have rarely if ever seen Lambos at the track. Always lots of Porsches and a few Ferraris. Also rare to see a Mac. The last event I did actually had more Ferraris than anything else and not a single Lambo. I dont disagree the Lambos are more about show but you can argue this for a lot of cars as most dont track. It doesn't really matter though, the owner should enjoy his car however he likes.

historically the argument that Lambos were more GT cars/ show vs cars made for a track was valid. Now, that's not a valid comment. Lambos are every bit and more track cars than any of their competitors.

    Sage advice with this post.

Question: I had the race seats in a prior Lambo. The are very lightweight, look amazing, and work great for short trips...longer trips they are far too hardcore. Is there any way to make them more comfortable? Any aftermarket solutions?

Maybe but you dont really see them. I do know that they are lacking in decent brakes. You will get immediate fade. Ferrari is not a whole lot better with the stock setup.

Lambo and Lambo dealerships are rare vs Ferrari and Porsche. That's part of it. When we did track events at Cota there were 10x Porsches vs either Ferrari, Lambo, or Mac. Also, consider the fact that many own multiple cars and it makes sense to track the car that is worth the least and if it breaks will cost you the least to make right...

I think I answered my own question.
For interest's sake, when we were in Italy touring Lambo in 2011 we learned that the race seats are made by Sparco. How did we learn this? We saw them removing the race seats from the Sparco boxes.
I googled Sparco race seat pads and found a ton of options. Starting here:
    https://www.sparcousa.com/product/seat-pad-set#readmore
    https://www.sparco-official.com/en/racing/seats-and-belts/accessories/kit-ergo-22536.html
    https://www.carid.com/seat-pads-inserts.html
Here are brackets, I assume these will allow for the seat to be mounted lower:
    https://www.sparcousa.com/vehicle-seats-accessories
and this for all of you who will tell me Sparco doesn't make the seats for Lambo:
    https://www.sparcousa.com/oem

Conclusion: Race seats are included. Get the race seats and spend $150 on Sparco pads. I just saved all of you $6000. Happy Holidays!

Going to sell well like always. Overpriced, but relative to F8/STO it’s pretty good.
I wish they were exclusive though.

i don’t know that you can call Porsche overpriced anymore. It’s all relative. I like this a lot. A very nice upgrade to the current model.

You'd be surprised how creative they can get when it comes to milking customers.

they can replace the current battery with something like antigravity and suddenly "based on extensive R&D, the all new STO Performante is 20 kg lighter than the STO".

Or maybe they already did. What battery does STO come with?
