In yesterday's analysts call there is also a very interesting quote coming from Louis Camilleri: "We want to address hybridization because we think it has huge benefits but I think also that when you see the carbon footprint, people tend to just look at emissions, we look at the entire carbon footprint and a hybrid relative to an internal combustion engine it's not necessarily that much more favorable. So it's something we are working on very carefully."
November 12 Beyond Imagination Launch confirmed - of something ! Ferrari is always pushing boundaries. Faster, more exciting, more powerful, more beautiful. Join us as we reveal the ultimate and most extreme expression of Ferrari driving.
I wouldn’t call any of those the “ultimate expression of Ferrari driving”. Almost sounds like a supercar, though we already know it’s not that.
Would love to see Ferrari do an Icona based on the 1966 365P 3-seater. Perhaps as a last hurrah for the N/A non hybrid V12s. Obviously this is pure dreaming by someone who doesn’t have any insider info but it’s good to dream sometimes.
I wish...sadly it is not possible based on an existing platform...this sort of car would require a completely new platform and cost several million. Also I think most people are not familiar with the 365P and would simply think Ferrari is imitating McLaren (when it was the other way round actually) Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Yes I know it’s wishful thinking, maybe they’d do it for the next LaFerrari. You’re correct though, most people would think they’re imitating McLaren or Gordon Murray Automotive.
As it was posted from the Ferrari Races account we can assume it is a track car. #ReadyToJoinTheClub indicates a kind of XX program? The headlights look similar to the 488 Challenge though.
Two reputable sources. Not sure this is the announcement of that car, but have heard it is the next XX.
does anyone exactly know what this new ferrari building is for? the design description says Powerplant and Hybrid Development Technical Center. will they develop EVs here? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
There is a lot going on at the moment. A while ago I dedicated an own thread to the whole plant extension topic: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/ferrari-factory-huge-extension.592561/
