Image Unavailable, Please Login Got up early to hit the roads before the weather moves in! Image Unavailable, Please Login Temps a tad cool for summer tires @ 50 F (10 C), so I just drove around in Comfort/Auto mode since it looks like the Cali will be sleeping for the next week or so...T
I wish the weather were better here. I am taking my car in on Monday to get the calipers painted and the windows tinted. It looks like I won't be driving her for a bit. Bummer the weather sucks all weekend. Image Unavailable, Please Login
What are they charging for the calipers, Russell? I've always wanted to get my silver ones done in Giallo Modena but the quote from the local independent was more than I was willing to spend.
I don't remember what the cost is for it. I had him do my PPF also, so was all part of it. I would guess around $150 a caliper if he broke it down. I think that is around the cost from what I have seen. A but pricey but one of those things that drives me crazy not having.
You guys have been getting a good bit of rain the last few days down in H-town, no? We've been pretty dry of late after a near-record rain fall earlier in the year. What color are you going to change your calipers to? T
I thought about changing mine for a pop of color, but in the end the current set up grew on me, especially once I changed the wheel caps from yellow to titanium. Image Unavailable, Please Login T
Yeah, it's been really bad here the last few days. Supposed to stop early tomorrow. I am going to go yellow on them. Think it will look the best.
the car in Charlotte is about 2hrs from me. I think Mclaren had it listed for 118k in the summer and have steadily dropped it. Nice color combo, however the lack of shields, no led on the steering wheel and the number of owners would be something to look at in more detail.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that right rear tire needs a bit more heat in it! Image Unavailable, Please Login T
Another 1000 miles on our watch. That makes it 22K miles in 4 and three-quarter years. Image Unavailable, Please Login The weather has been too pretty to work this week...T
LOL. I know! My wife nags me about driving on summer tires in sub-50 F temps. If she saw that pic, she'd chew my ear off! T
Cruising through DFW over to Mt Pleasant tomorrow Tom. Heat it up before I get to town. I may even visit my ex whom I hear is for sale in Addison! **can’t break away** Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Today was spectacular. Low 70s, not much breeze. Just back from a drive in the country with the wife and pooch. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice, then cooler by end of week. Safe travels...T
Yes, that is my suspicion since it has been squawking about TPMS failure for the last week. That's the first time, however, I caught a specific wheel giving a wonky reading, so perhaps that's the sensor that needs replacing & others are fine. To my recollection, they've not been replaced since I've owned her, so I wouldn't be surprised if they're due. In bringing her on for annual service shortly, so it'll be looked at then. T
From last week. First drive of the year! I pray that 2021 is not the ordeal that '20 was. It was barely 50 F, so it was gran turismo driving mode all the way. But, still a clear sunny day to enjoy the F-car. And with snow possible for this weekend, which for us is very rare, they've preemptively sprayed brine on some of the major roads, bridges & overpasses, so likely a while before the Cali is back out there. ☹️ Image Unavailable, Please Login T
Great read Tom! I’ve been given the go-ahead to chase my first, in two years time. My wife’s choice is the California, so we will see what happens. Hopefully will get to see yours around DFW some day!
Thank you. Good luck, the chase is just the beginning of the fun. I wish you luck. We've enjoyed the heck out of our California...T
Back from annual service a couple of weeks ago. Now we're enjoying it more as the weather warms up. Needs a good dusting! Image Unavailable, Please Login T
We were out for about an hour today, after dealer put on the summer shoes! Low 60's here but some sun. Can't wait for regular driving events to begin!
