"very well"? Really? Entries 43 (40 starts) Championships 0 Wins 0 Podiums 0 Career points 12 Pole positions 0 Fastest laps 0 First entry 1992 South African Grand Prix Last entry 1994 Australian Grand Prix Another has-been in my book.
Agreed—- and with all due respect beating Damon hill the weakest WDC ever and zanardi who sucked in f1 isn’t like beating Schumacher Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Here is a stupid/newbie question from me (and I really dont know the answer): Once Fittipaldi gets into the car, does he start from a clean slate of engine replacements etc or does he inherit the car and Grosjean's data? I'm suspecting the latter. I assume the Grosjean car is a wreck, including engine, gearbox MKU etc. So Fittipaldi gets all that counted against him? To the point if Grosjean had already many engine failures (I have no idead) Fittipaldi could thereby inherit a penalty for having a new car and loose some grid positions (not that I think he'd be forward anyhow)?
It's the same situation like Hulkenberg when he drove for Racing Point....he inherits the car and possible penalties IF any.
Are you serious? Do you think he had any chance to get a pole position or a win with a Minardi? It's like saying Russell is a bad driver...
I agree but very well should be maybe at least a few points, no? All I seem to recall is that flip in monza: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm just too lazy to dig out the full stats so just copied that from Wiki. More importantly is that he barely spent three seasons in F1 in backmarker cars. Shows you what the team managers thought of him. Not much apparently. And he collected a few points in the making. Not quite a stellar palmares.
Sounds about right. I knew there were more than just one and they all were disappointments. Kinda like the Andrettis. Mario was great and the rest goes into the has-beens and never-weres category.
I'm perfectly fine with that. Fits well with the Millionaire boys club, which is mostly the rest of the field. No bucks, no Buck Rogers.
Well actually he did score some points so he did do well enough in 93 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
He gave a quite extense interview just recently where the interviewer went through his F1 career in a very detailed manner. He said he had an offer to move to Footwork but decided he didn't want to suffer again on backmarker cars.
Yes, my bad. It was after Footwork that he decided not to drive backmarkers anymore. If you understand a bit of Portuguese:
I think some of you are quite short memoried. Chrisitan Fittipaldi did well, given the circumstances. He scored points with Minardi and two 4th places with an Arrows, that´s the best you could do with those cars. I´m quite sure he would comfortably get into that 90% that would win in a Mercedes.
