Wanted to do a 488 OEM wheel weight comparison, so here you go. In the past we did the 458 and lso a F12 comparison (see links below if interested). This is using our cheep shipping scale but it seems to be pretty accurate. We put a 15lb barbell on the scale to check accuracy and it was 15lbs dead on.

458 OEM wheel weight comparison, see here

    F12 OEM wheel weight comparison

Here ya go for the standard 488 wheels made by Speedline wheels of Italy
    Specs
    Front 9J X 20 ET 44.7, Rear 11J X 20 ET 38.5 mm

    Front wheels 28lbs
    Rear wheels 32lbs

    120lbs total

    Image Unavailable, Please Login

Next up we have the optional forged wheels made by Super Alloys of Taiwan
    Specs are the same
    Front 9J X 20 ET 44.7, Rear 11J X 20 ET 38.5 mm

    Front wheels 25lbs
    Rear wheels 27lbs

    104lbs total

So with the forged wheels on the car compared to the standard wheels, you save 16lbs of un-sprung weight.

*That's going to help in steering, handling, braking and acceleration.

We have both styles in multiple colors in stock if anybody would like to go either way. When I get my hands on another set of the 488 accessory wheels, I will weigh and add them to this thread. In my experience the accessory wheels are usually heavier then the forged wheels.

Any idea what the 488 accessory OZ wheels weigh?

Or what the weight of HRE P107sc in OEM sizes, any ballpark numbers?

Gonna do something different on my F8 when it arrives...

OP has not responded further to the tread, check the one on F8 wheel options. There are some numbers there, as well as the best prices I’ve found on Pista wheels:

Sorry it took us a while to get a hold of the Pista wheels but have now had 5 sets. On my same scale as used above I got the following results.

    Made by Apptech of Italy
    Specs are the same
    Front 9J X 20 ET 44.7, Rear 11J X 20 ET 38.5 mm

    Front wheels 20lbs
    Rear wheels 22lbs

84lbs total (save 36lbs. un-sprung weight off the base wheels, that's huge)

What is the front offset of your HRE? Do you think a wider front and rear tyre would clear with your offsets? Thinking 255 and 315.

Would be interested to know if you have any rubbing on track.

    Get us some pics:)

Front is 9x20 et35....sorry typing late at night on iPad. I have not crawler under the car to see the clearance but knowing the wheel is outset 10mm more I would imagine a 255 would clear.

I think you misunderstood me. I was thinking more about if the tyre would clear the outer fender lip. But I was thinking that your front offset was more like 30-32. But with a change of 9.5 mm, a 255 would fit no problem.

I got ya...yes there is room on outer fender lip. I did not push the wheels outward a whole bunch just a nice slight outer offset.

Basically from stock the HRE's are offset like having 10mm front and 15mm rear spacers.... HRE said I could go 15-17mm front and 22mm rear but to me that is too much...maybe for the street crowd looking to do 21/22 wheels and sludge the tire past the fend or right to it...but that is not me. ;-)
