EAG fixed my exhaust CEL when nobody else could when I had them install Fabspeed headers and blankets. I think Art has bad luck with customers more than they have bad luck with him.
Yep and in car land the customer nor the shop is always right. Seems art gets a bunch of crappy cars that come in with rat nests etc... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I am not a customer of EAG and never have been. However, I recently had the opportunity to drive a 430 that was recently converted to manual by EAG. And, I've driven a lot of factory manual 430s. Other than the shift gate not having the correct factory finish and lacking engraving, the car was indistinguishable from a factory manual 430. Drove exactly the same as any other factory manual 430. I was very impressed. And, I know that the owner of the car that I drove waited "a few weeks" to get his car converted (which sounds entirely reasonable to me), and that there were no issues along the way. (Probably helped that this particular car was an an extremely low mileage 430, in virtually as-new condition, so there were no unforeseen issues, mods, other shop screwups, etc. to deal with.) In any event, the owner is thrilled, and in fact has since sent his 599 to EAG for a manual conversion as well. Just a positive datapoint for the thread. Again, I have no connection to EAG whatsoever, but I have seen the results of their work, and I am very impressed.
Where on this invoice say discount? Let’s say there’s is a discount, should the service be less? Image Unavailable, Please Login
ok man i shld have stuck to my earlier conclusion - you win. is it fair to say you are happy with the conversion at least? ie you wld do it again?
Hi @Circle K I sympathize with you, truly, @ttforcefed has helped a few folks get sorted. Hopefully, you get your clutch back and all is behind you. What's left is the wide-open road and a glorious 6 speed. Let us know how it goes. Best to you.
If I didn’t have to go through all the B.S., yes I would do it again. Nothing beats the manual feeling
Have @ttforcefed help you get your clutch sorted. If I am correct, that's the last big thing? If this thread ends with a happy ending for all - that's would be glorious and the epitome of what Fchat should be. Best to you all.
Is a person suppose to give credit for what’s expected? I give credit to those who does what’s not expected. For me, I don’t feel entitled but entitled to get what I paid for, service, care, responsibility. Just the same as any other person who brings their car for service or any type of service
Hi Kevin, I understand what you're saying; I really, really do! Keep in mind the business is just starting, though not an excuse - I suspect major 'growing pains' - I think your feedback is well warranted. Hopefully, Art will implement things so others won't have to go through the same hassles. I would focus on getting whatever is still pending rectified, then I would encourage you to let us know if things have been sorted. While you can't go back in time and fix things that should have been smoother from the start, if we can at least get you in a place where you're all settled - it's the best all of us can hope for. Good Luck!
He needs to respond to my texts/calls first. Like I posted before, I’m one of the lucky ones compare to others I spoke to.
I assume if he doesn't respond to your calls or texts either one of two things. 1) He is too busy to respond. 2) He doesn't want to respond. If it's the former, I would approach it pragmatically. If it's the latter, well my as well other's efforts here is a moot point
I don't know, maybe like when he helped here or here? Are you trying to be a victim? If so, keep on going, you're doing a great job.
Why are you guys beating up on the OP? there appears to be no dispute in anything he has posted, and he is still in the position he was at the start of the thread, there has been no resolution, so he is not harping on, just re clarifying the facts, as he did when a claim was made that he received a discount, which was proven to not be true. I am sure the guys at AEG are likeable people trying to do a job, but the OPs car vanished for a month through no fault of his own, I am sure you would have been losing sleep as well if you own car simply disappeared and the organiser was not bending over backwards to find it pronto. Yes it does all sound like teething troubles of what will be a popular service. OP can you post up the pics of the clutch you were shown and then the one that was sent back?
Id bid 400 to 500. If ur spending money to replace a clutch might as well use a new one. Fwiw all those clutch pics look the same to me
