    Hey All,

Still fairly new to the area and I was hoping we could put together a list of good local places in the metroplex that not only have excellent food, but provide valet service that is highly inclined to put a vintage/exotic in a prime spot (I am aware a good tip helps).

I am in the mid-cities, so right in the middle of the Big D and FTW. I would love to have a list of places the wife and I could go, while enjoying the drive to and fro.

    Post away!

We took the Cali to Da Mario in Frisco. No issues w/ parking up front.
Likewise Il Calabrese in Southlake. Both were FCA events...T

Del Frisco’s at Legacy West. You can park there and walk to other restaurants in Legacy West without issue. Lava Cantina in The Colony. I’ll think of some more.

Of course Janier's on Cole. He is a Ferrari guy from way back into the 80s..... His current ride is always parked out front, they will put yours there too. Classic continental Mexican. Norwood's original shop was across the street. Lots of history there.

Cole is the official address to look it up.

Yes I spent an hour and a half once, listening to two Norwood employees from back in the day, tell stories over dinner. Incredibly talented group of people....doing some petty interesting things....to say the least. I was never at the Uptown shop myself, but did have them do work at the NW highway location on a 348 I had. I went by a few times and there was always something loud and amazing on the dyno.

Great suggestions. Checked them all out online. Javier’s looks laid back and fun. Been to Il Calabrese, but that doesn’t give me a chance to get past third gear!

I hate the idea of valet no-man’s-land.

    Keep ‘em coming.

He said he's mid-cities, none of these suggestions are mid-cities. :D

    I'm in Southlake.

Trulucks (Southlake) - they leave front 3 spots for the best cars.

IL Calabrese (Southlake) - they will put 1-2 cars in front of door, but all others with there within 50 feet.

Moxies (Southlake) - 4-5 valet spots right there in front at stand.

4-restaurants (Grapevine) - Bob's, Winewood, Mi Dia, Fireside great valet in circle drive 8+ cars and they're use to the best cars.

Perry's (Grapevine/Southlake) - good valet under the awning.

    Is Southlake not mid-cities, now?:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Good tips, still won’t get out of third.

My one experience at Perrys, the food was abysmal, except my wife’s steak. Unfortunate, as it’s so close and a nice setting, otherwise. Maybe we caught them at a bad time.

Forgot about Moxies recent opening. Will check it out. I always thought that location was odd, which is probably why I keep forgetting about it. Didn’t work for the last tenant. Hope it is better for Moxies.

    not my suggestions, everyone else's!

I haven't been there since Covid, but prior their first 6 months after opening they were good the 3-4 times I went. I probably prefer Bob's. Del Frisco OK and good valet parking, but since their new ownership a couple years ago and they removed my favorite Prime Rib I haven't been thrilled.

If getting out of third gear is the goal, then try some of the BBQ joints in the small towns outside the Metroplex?
All the spots are prime, and there are zero issues w/ valets. :D
We've taken the California to probably a dozen different places; never any problems.
Hashknife in Peadenville - a microscopic town north of Mineral Wells - is a particular favorite.

Now that sounds fun! I find the roads in the city quite bad and worrisome to drive on, anyway.

Sorry Rob, I misinterpreted the intended message of your statement. Darn forums and text messages!

I was about to ask if you have any Grey Poupon, but now I understand you weren't trying to say SL is not mid-cities.

    Mea culpa.:D

Me too. Our F-car spends 90+% of its time out on country roads.
