$97.5k-- actually a little higher than I thought it would go. Fair to buyer and seller, in my opinion. Especially since it needs a major service.

Seems light. 97 plus 8k for a major is 105 plus bat fee.

Non gte 599s go from right below 100 to about 120s ..so pretty much the same range for a oto ..probably lower

Trust me, you want to keep it. Go out and drive!

With the light traffic and easy parking due to the pandemic, I've been driving mine to work regularly.

I personally think that the color combination brought the value down on this one. I would not want black on black.

I would agree. It isn't a bad color combo but probably not one I would fight for in an auction. My silverstone/cuoio 612 is one I would've competed for.

Still I thought the price would be higher but as a 612 owner I am biased.

Just happy driving my non OTO 07. Who really cares if it is worth 50, 75 or 100k. Nobody in my neighborhood has one and it a joy to drive. That’s enough. My estate will have to worry about values.

    My sentiments exactly.

And not only that, I'm going to leave them with a belt change due! :D

I personally find the 612 design to be more pleasing/timeless than either the 456 or the 612’s successors. Could this be the “modern” 4 seater that is ultimately the most desirable/valuable? Not that I really care much, but given that there are so few around this might be a nice working theory (especially if you have an OTO or a manual). If that is the case then maybe this is the bottom of the depreciation curve.

Not to mention that it had paint work done to it and had imperfections on its $38K glass roof!

Yea that was my car. Sad to see it go and I agree that it is probably close to the bottom of the curve. I think maybe 3-4 more years of trickling down before they start to rise again. Buyer seemed like a collector. I'm thinking he's gonna hang onto it for a while.

I drove it about 5k miles over 50 months, enjoyed the heck out of it. Not thrilled about the selling price but the market is what it is. Made money on my 355, lost on the OTO. Overall pretty much even on Ferraris. Not something to complain about, I guess.

Imperfections on the roof? I never noticed any. I am curious about what you saw.

It's in the description of the car by the seller:

"This Scaglietti is said to be one of only 29 produced for the US market in 2009, and it is finished in black with optional Scuderia fender shields and a chrome-plated grille. The seller states that the passenger-side rocker panel has been refinished, and imperfections are noted on the roof as well as on the bottom of the front lip. "

The sale price reflected the condition, the lack of belt service and the miles. It had nothing to do with the color as someone stated here. Personally, I prefer a black Ferrari a lot more than any shade of grey but color is a matter of taste.

Ah yes. That was a paint scratch on the rail just above the passenger window. Not the glass roof. I can now see how that was a bit ambiguous.
