PISTA that's what I did and would recommend . I had an F8 demo for 3 days and it was a fine car but to me the PISTA was by far the better choice it sounds better and to me it looks better I just love the looks of mine in my garage ..

I think that the front of the F8 is a little subdued compared to the Pista. I love the front end of the Pista. The rest, I am with you, F8 all the way. With that said, I don't dislike the F8 front end.

 

My first point.. Why did he get out or is getting out of the Huracan. Why is he choosing Ferrari? Obviously, the sound must not be that compelling to consider going to an F8 or Pista. Both of these have nowhere the same sound.

Although I love the sounds of the engine, particularly NA Ferrari engines, I made the selection of getting an F8 because I know that the sound can be fixed whht an exhaust, realizing that it will never be a 458 or NA V-12 and I am OK with that.

I think that although the sound is not the same, the car possesses the rest of the qualities the OP looks for. Granted, the F8 is not a Pista or a 458, but it isn't trying to be. I think it is a perfect "compromise" (using the term loosely for lack of a better word) or "in between" car between the 458/488 and the Pista. Just for that, I would go F8. Speciale, is a special vehicle but realistically speaking, who will daily drive a Speciale? I know I wouldn't. So that alone would take it out of my list of preferences. If you are going to put an exhaust for the Pista, you can do the same on he F8 and expect a beautiful sound as well and... you would still save yourself 100k.

LOL. His opinion... Most of you/us are just used to that point of view, a pot stirrer. I take Shadow's POV with respect. I may not agree with him 99% of the times (not the case) but I don't confront him nor let him shove his POV down my throat as much as I am sure he doesn't allow anybody else's change his. It is all about a balance. All of us have the ability to filter what you like and what you don't and respond favorably in every occasion. I have a magnificent ignore/let it go imaginary button. If I have nothing nice to say, I just don't say it at all. Let it go and it dies there. Fight it and you keep it alive. It is like throwing lumber to a fire. Let it consume itself out and it will die. I engage to what I feel is a productive conversation and although we have had our disagreements, not once we have had a bad outing.

This is a fantasy question the Pista is $100,000 more and no way I would buy a stripped down Pista.

Another one validating my point. The F8 is best and only realistic option with the conditions listed and particularly the cost clause since you won't find an equally priced Pista.

Oh... I'm sorry... I see now. The OP did play Houdini or the more recent LV Ferrari sibling incident... Well, with that said... I am used to seeing Shadow getting hammered for his heavy and incisive opinions. I think he's a good guy with a strong personality and even stronger opinions. Yet, he has experience and good info.

So what is the current price difference? If the Pista is 1 year old with minimal miles it should be close to msrp which would make the same 150k difference? Please clarify.

 

which country are you located in Asia? with the car prices two to three folds than US price, the delta is also 2 to 3 fold. The delta in US between the two cars can be easily 100k, that means in most asian countries, the delta is about 200 to 300k usd. You mentioned 150k. Is pista that cheap in your country?

what color is your huracan, how much was it in your country? show us some pics.

 

. Look at the pricing of the f8 in the UK. It is significantly lower than the Pista price you posted. Looking at autotrader in the UK it looks like they are 70k pounds cheaper. Also Pista pricing has increased in the last few months and is close to or at MSRP again.

 

A good spec F8 is around $320k (i know as i have a build slot and own a 488 spider) and literally in the dealer on the weekend is a good spec Pista for $480k roughly so there is ZERO chance of getting a Pista for the price of an F8. While we are at - why dont we do a should i get an F12 TDF or 812 for the same price?

The bulk of the F8's were $270 or less other than the first one which was highly modded. So your average F8 price even with the outlier was $257,000 pounds the one Pista example you showed was $295,000 pounds so still a $51,000 difference in US dollars.

And that is one ugly interior with all the Red in the Pista probably why the price is low.

I quite like that red Pista and don’t have a problem with it. What’s shocking is how many f8 for sale. Very few here in the us.
