Maybe I interpreted this wrong, this was meant for OP. If so. I apologize. Doubt it. It must be the delta that is 150k. Which again proves my point. You will very unlikely find a same price Pista : F8. It may be close but not same.
It is because it is the new kid in the block. You will soon find them. Maybe not. Depends on how many will be looking for the new STO, Huracan Speedster, 765LT or the new Ferrari Toaster.
Just like the 488 and 458 before it, the classifieds will be littered with F8s. Its already started. Nothing new here....same thing happens with all regular production cars. hell- there are 50 or Pistas for sale right now.
Yeah. I was quite surprised to see that. They have them in many dealers. When I went looking for the F8, they had 3, sitting there; one dealership alone. That leads me to believe that the Pista is almost being treated almost as a normal production car (almost because of it's sticker price).
Probably 3500 or so total Pistas worldwide. maybe more, maybe less. this has been debated to death. All I know is that its a great car and a long term keeper for me.
That is all that matters. I am doing the same with my F8. That is why I optioned it the way I did. I keep my cars. I dilute mileage by using them all. My GLE '19 63S bought in April 2019 and it only has 7k miles. My '14 CLS 63S, which is my heavy batter, bought in Oct 2013 and has 60k miles. My 997 GT2 is not a DD, bought with 1k miles in 2010. I have had 14k miles of pure fun. Now it has turned into a showroom car. Rarely drive it. The others are being used by my kids and are essentially theirs. The BMW, I have to get it back to running. Battery died and got locked out with double lock system. I was a hardcore manual transmission guy. The years have been good to me. But driving the GT2 in traffic or constant shifting, although fun, the body takes a little toll afterwards. I would have never thought of switching to Auto/DCT for my fun car. Here I am, impatiently waiting.
You still haven’t told us what deal you’ve found, but sure jump on it. If your referring to the one you posted and you like the red interior than go for it. But as we’ve pointed out it’s not the same price as the F8 and about 50-75k pounds more.
thanks everyone, i will post the car once the deal is finished. I dont want to publish the deal here.
Interesting. Time will tell... Good luck with the secret deal. Sent from my BLA-A09 using FerrariChat.com mobile app
hey, I must getting mixed up, socal, you love your pista and dustman hated it. Somehow I remember you love your 720s but not pista...
I need some education on how to feel the love for the McLaren. Is there an online class I can sign up for?
It doesn’t matter to me whether you like it or not. I can only share my experience. It s the fastest most engaging car I’ve driven. You u feel glued to the road. The carbon tub is the real deal. The car and eels light and nimble compared to its competitors. The aero, while controversial, is functional. The active spoiler is a blast the watch in the rear view mirror. Having said that, if you don’t like the car, you don’t like the car. Makes no difference to me. I’m not paid by mclaren or any other manufacturer to tout their products. I just call it like I see it.
Find a way to get behind the wheel of an LT, ideally a 675 or 765. I'm confident that experience would result in newfound respect and appreciation for their cars and what they've accomplished in only 8 years. Styling-wise, they aren't for everyone and I respect that.
Go spend some time behind the wheel and you will easily see why. With that being said if you are just a fan of Ferrari and won’t consider any other brands than nothing will help.
My Ferrari experience has been great, so yes, I'm a fan. But I'm open to other brands. They had a 720S at Festival of Speeds in Jekyll Island on Sunday, but (unfortunately) I didn't explore it further, and it was just for display, not a demo for test driving. Sounds like it's worth a test drive, and this way I can draw my own conclusions.
