Is there anybody out there building a intake manifold to run Weber’s or old school replica weber throttle bodies on a 456/550/575/612 engine ?I am in the process of putting a 456 engine in a 250 recreation and would like to give it that old 250 look

Not a Ferrari v12 but I saw a youtube video of a guy who did it to a BMW 750IL v12, it was a really cool project.

There are a few people on youtube who have done this.

Mattie are you building the bread wagon 250 on the 550 chassis? Someone on here built an intake manifold with individual throttle bodies. Looked similar to what you are mentioning.

I am building a 250 lwb california spyder , and I am thinking not only will the vintage style induction look cool it will decrease the torque so I won’t rip the wires out of the borrani wheels

I realize you're going with a Ferrari v12 but making the intake runners and the other processes will be the same, look at his other videos of how he made it.

The yellow 575 GTO Special is my car and we ( https://www.project-heaven.com/ ) could supply a tailor made ECU for this engine at £800 (GBP) per unit if anybody wants one. It would still need setting up on the dyno
The GTO still has the DTA unit we fitted from the start and it works well, but we've now done quite few conversions on various cars including Maserati 3500GTI, E-Types and 6 & 8 cyl Jag saloons, Volvo 1800ES, and our own ECUs are considerably more refined now.

As far as exhaust note goes (its 6:2:1) it depends entirely on the silencing. I blew out most of the packing once while testing at Mallory Park and on the drive home without earplugs I actually found the cockpit noise too painful to bear between 6 and 8000 rpm. With the packing replaced it's just right.
Interestingly the intake sound was far better when we had the original tuned 365 4 cam engine on 45 DCOE (sidedraught) Webers. It really did make the hairs stand up on the back of your head when it came on cam at about 5500/6000. It's difficult to know how much of that was the positioning of the intakes and how much the difference between throttle bodies and carbs.
