I know about employees not liking it. My uncle ran a very successful business and had a bunch of nice high end cars. I could hear them making comments on how they felt he should share his wealth with them. Their logic was that because of them, he could afford the cars and other luxuries. I was appalled. I discussed this with buddyg once on another post. Usually not a good idea. They feel as it is a slap in the face. To avoid issues, drive a toyota. It is funny how live works. Ohh the entitlements.

See!!!!??? We do agree from time to time... That is why I respect your opposing views. I may not agree with them all the time, but from time to time.... We find a common denominator.

Buddyg just doesn't care... The man with the ZZ Top beard causes fear and imposes respect. No messing around with the beard or it's belongings.

Yeah cant say i noticed any lag and I was giving it the full beans up and down the gears for quite some time. For someone to say it has noticeable lag I'm confused to how they are using the equipment so it somehow fouls itself up. I thought the car was as idiot proof as you could pretty well get. But maybe I'm wrong. Obviously I must be, as someone is now complaining about lag in it.

I am a sucker for this!!! Considered getting one, but I already have the GT2. Wanted something else. There I went for the F8.

I'm telling you it really is THAT good. I'm not selling mine unless the next one forces me to. I'm fairly certain you will let go of the manual gt2 very smartly if you get some seat time in the new 2rs.

That is a very good idea. I just couldn't. Pista not for me but I could have gone for the 812. Two things.. Afraid that I would love the 812 too much and forget the F8. God knows that the boss would not be happy if I tried to keep both. I would have to move with all 5 cars. Second, the F8 is already here. Apparently, still on hold because I have not heard anything from the dealership. Regardless, not worth it now.

What I like about you is that you are a straight shooter. Sometimes incisively sharp, blunt and funny at the same time. There is no doubt in your point of view. With that said, I know you don't mean ill. It is never personal.

I can imagine. I really almost got one. But like I said, I already have my 997 GT2, which I am keeping and didn't want to repeat; so I went F8 route.

No right or wrong here as they are all good cars. The only thing which would throw a spanner into the works would be driving the new one. That could prove costly.

Although I never thought I would ever go DCT/paddle shifters for a sports car. I must say I have changed my opinion about it as aging makes you be smarter about these things, particularly after long drives. Hips and knees feel it at the end of a vigorous drive. However, I don't think I will ever let go of this one. So far the last of the Mohicans. So far last GT2 made and last manual made. Seems like a possible winner down the line. We will have to see.

I don't set out to make enemies but I'm not going to BS myself about certain things even when I own the cars in question which I am being critical of. Things are what they are and I believe one is best to place their emotions to one side when commenting about certain things on material things like cars even though these cars can draw emotion and create emotional attachment. Its just a case of not letting that emotional attachment getting the better of you so you cant speak the truth in fear of reprisal. That way you can remain true to yourself and others around you when offering opinion on cars. Some here can get a bit too emotionally invested and that's perfectly fine - and they can call me whatever they want if it makes them feel better about it - I'm ok with that up to a point - but things shouldn't stand in the way of allowing someone else who may not share a POV by then ganging up and bullying them or by focusing always on giving character assessments in an assassinating type manner in a bid to get square. Particularly when I have actually driven the cars and or own them. And no I don't mean ill at all and avoid getting personal wherever possible even though some of the amigos like testing my resolve. So yeah I can give as good or better than they want to dish me out when lines are crossed. Appreciate your understanding.

Im a firm believer you should always keep and hold when you see merit in doing so and/or can afford to do so. Sometimes something has to give though and decisions have to be made....as painful as that can be. I try to avoid it - and avoid thinking about it. Often I get asked which of my cars is the best or which would be the one I would keep if things went south. Its not a thought I car to ponder but I have thought about it. Thankfully I'm still northbound and in great shape - touch wood.

I find that when I need to get the fluids moving a bit in some of the cars and keep them in rotation a short drive to work is a good solution. I live 7 miles from work and take the highway the whole way, not much traffic and no cross traffic which is the worst.

The short drive puts a smile on my face and something to look forward to before and after work. I have a great spot in the garage connected to my office which is totally safe, and the parking attendants love the cars.

As for employees, they know I am Ferrari crazy and my passion lies in restoring the cars and sharing them. They do not see it as a sign of wealth but a passion that is super meaningful to me. My office at work has models of all the cars I own and other Ferrari memorabilia/photos.

This is me right now, I am always surrounded by Ferrari stuff, at home and at the office!

Love it! It’s amazing how many groceries we can get in the Front of the 458 and F8.

I was out driving my F8 on some curvy country roads yesterday. Keeping the car in 4th gear in the upper rev range and running hard through the corners was very engaging. In between curves hitting the throttle and being thrown back in my seat was thrilling. I am very happy with the F8 and wouldn’t trade it for a Pista. I drive this car a lot 1200 miles since I got it in October. My wife enjoys riding in it and she loves having the heated seats and passenger display where she can control the music. The Pista just doesn’t fit my mission statement and I don’t like the dated interior or lack of some creature comforts. I would say on a road such as I was on it would be very hard for the Pista to lose me. On a track it’s a different story. Of course a lot depends on the driver. Pista is a fantastic car just not for me.

Yeah it’s pretty sad how people think they should get the fruits of someone else’s labor. This is only going to get worse soon. I don’t drive my Ferrari’s to work but if an employee is complaining about this kind of thing I always tell them they are free to quit and go start their own company anytime you like!

Most of my employees are excited of my new rides and happy for me.
Some of them are with me since the beginning of the business, and they witnessed the challenges and successes.
Many of them bought houses, nice cars and their own luxuries. I am very happy for them and this is my wish.
