3 times recently I have been advised that the NSX was far better than the 348/355 in every way. I then ask - how many NSX’s have you owned/driven and how many 348/355’s have you owned/driven? The answer is always “well my brother in laws best mate said....” Even when I say that I have owned 2x NSX’s (1990 and 2003) and a Ferrari 348 and 355, but they still know more than I do.... The technical term is hating. BTW I have some original magazines where they tested the 348 and nsx and 911. They all wanted the 348. Was the NSX better than the 348.. sure but still want the 348. Is the nsx better than the 355, umm that's a hard no.
My NSX’s were lovely in that time period of my life when I was into Jap Imports - it was the pinnacle for me at that time having owned Supras and 300zx’s etc. I knew however that one day I had to have a Ferrari and when it came I realised for the first time that you cannot compare any car on paper or by their technical specs. At the root of this is self-esteem. Someone with well-developed self-esteem will not attempt to mine self-worth from every situation; rather, someone with self-esteem will always ask "will this help?", to themselves, before making any statement, or taking any action. This sort of thing is the basis of pretty much everything bad happening on earth, in my opinion.
F355 is the only proper sportscar I've ever owned...also in my opinion. Numbers alone will never tell the full story of the F355; only mastering it will do that.
