It is remarkable how big the 308 looks compared to many of the other Italian cars on the road.

Thank you, looks to be a great period based video. I especially like the section (at 1:52) showing good old factory lead filler in the quarter panel! Given some carb, injected (and Boxer) scenes, my guess is this is circa 1980-1981(?)

    Mid/Late 1980 I'm thinking?

308 GTSi 2v around Fiorano has Nardi steering wheel with silver spokes but square flag outside mirror, Mondial and Boxer 512BBi in production!

Crash test is of USA spec 2vi as well.

Remind me to avoid crashing the 328. That was ugly.

It’s a good thing we didn’t see the euro version crash tested. Especially, a side impact test.

Not sure if the cameraman thought the out of focus shots were creative or it was after work on Friday and he was seconded to hold the camera (after working on my car.)

I understand the peculiarities of these cars a lot better having seen them being made. Thanks for sharing!

If there is anything to be learned from this it is to avoid crashing your 308 into a wall at 40 kph at all cost! It also brings back fond memories of the results of trying to cram four hours of recording onto a video cassette tape in EP mode. :)

It was from late 79 to early 80 based on that silver spoked Nardi on an injected car.

It would’ve been appropriate if it was a 400 meters dash (1/4 mile) or maybe a horse racing as it represents speed and the prancing horse.

Great video. Not a single pair of safety glasses in the shop.

Factory video reminds me of paintings/sketches of the technology in use at Coalbrookdale around 1780. ;)

Thanks! That is a great period piece!

    And amusing too.
Like the pole vaulters. I didn't get that until I saw their shorts were just like Magnum's.
And the practicality images. Like when you're at the colosseum and some kids steal you valve stem caps. Well no problem making it through those narrow wagon cart archways. Try that in an Aventador! The kids would be gone.

    I really enjoyed that.

Nice to see the action at the factory, but now I have to rest, I got a headache from the out-of-focus adornements and the music choice
