    My GTS finally arrived! Photos coming soon. Off to paint correction/PPF/ceramic. Dealer is recommending pinning the valves as I have done with every other car, including my Pista. He says no impact to GPF sensors, but improved sound. Anyone else had experience with the valves pinned?

    I think that should work. I have the Capristo controller and it did work with no check engine lights. The remote stopped working yesterday but no issues otherwise .

    I have with a Range Rover SVR Sport with the Exhaust Valves pinned back and it sounds surprisingly great. I'm considering that as an option, or the Capristo Remote Valve Opener which I have on all my Ferrari's.

    I own a Ferrari 488 Spider which came to me with a Capristo Straight Pipe Muffler Delete Capristo Straight Pipe Cat delete - OBD Wizard Performance Box, BUT this option for the 812 GTS will be considerably more in cost and my 488 has a growl to it versus the Novitec Exhaust System which has more of whiney pitch which I didn't particularly like, Given how great my 488 Spider sounds, I can only imagine how my amazing the 812 GTS will sound. When in Sport Mode in the 488 iit has less decibels which is a nice option to have depending on where I'm going but in Race Mode there is a significant difference with the higher decibels and with a growl like a Ferrari should sound like which the Novitec System doesn't personally work for me,

    Il try to do so. Right now the remote isnt working so its at factory settings which means valves dont open until about 3k rpm I think in race. It takes higher rpms in other settings. It will take a couple of weeks to get the remote re-paired or the controller reset with the holidays.

    My spec just gone in, wanted a red one as I have Ferrari’s but not a red one anymore, sign of how much stereotype colour perceptions have changed! I think the darker colours just suit the 812 GTS given the real estate and long shut lines of the rear deck and the blacked out rear quarter window needs a dark colour fir me...really agonised between Rosso Marenello, Fouco & Fiorano, and have opted for darker Fiorano. Given it’s a fairly reserved colour, wanted to give it an aggressive stance with black wheels (which again seem to work well on the GTS, maybe it goes better with that blacked out window and doesn’t break the lines of the car as much as the silver wheels, again hard choice) and Giallo Calipers. I just prefer lighter interiors, makes the cabin feel less cramped, so gone with crema with carbon and aluminium options to transition the difference in colours....full carbon exterior, well this is it....due In the Summer (hopefully sooner).

    The Rosso Fiorano is very nice. There was a Pista that showed up in this color here on Fchat recently (tickerhound - Post #7159 in the Pista picture thread) and the color is gorgeous. I would take Rosso Fiorano over Rosso Fuoco.
    The light interior makes a nice contrast with the Rosso Fiorano. Perhaps the only quibble with a GTS is a bit less leg room but otherwise an absolutely wonderful ride!

    I think I still prefer the dark wheels....it’s that rear quarter window, and I think the black wheels keeps the focus on the lines of the car....

    Love it! Mine is due any day now also in Fiorano. I ordered it with black wheels but the memo got lost in translation so it’s got diamond rims. Probably time to get an extra set of black rims.

    Dear spyros, I am currently speccing a 812 gts for delivery may 2020. For exterior I have choosen blu pozzi but interior I didn't know yet. when I saw your pictures on the forum I was impressed.     Wheels the easiest thing to correct, so no worries there, all the other bits if wrong are a major headache and cost...I personally find the Ferrari painted wheels chip a little easy, especially if you do a track day where you can get them up to serious speed, I had a set on my F12 powder coated to a dark gunmetal colour which I thought was perfect....and they never chipped again !
