This is what I don't get and it happens in most of us (myself excluded with the exception of selling a 68 Dodge Charger 440 with sixpack, but in my defense, I needed the money to pay for college). We sell our cars, looking at the greener grass (something better or newer) and then realize that you already had better and newer doesn't necessarily translate to better. I love your GT3RS. I can't believe you and Edward. Between you two, I am not gonna last long with this broken heart syndrome. Let's see who here had a 918 Spyder and sold it. Finish me off!
That would be Dusty. I don't miss my 991 GT3 too much, it was a rough daily and not as special as my Ferrari's and Lambo's. If I tracked more often my opinion would be different.
992TT S might be an option as well. All the performance you could want and still civilized for date in night.
I meant Plastique (Edward) selling his CGT and SoCal selling his GT3RS. But I agree with you, GT2 and GT3 with their RS counterparts are not fun DD. They are fun for spirited driving on weekends.
Completely agree with you on that one. TTS has always been a great DD, date night car and it carries itself within the ranks of Supercars very well.
when I first started making real money and could afford real cars- I went nuts. As soon as I bought a car, almost immediately I was on the hunt for the next one. I’ve matured and realized that the latest isn’t the greatest. I’m very particular in what I want to add to my garage now, aka this thread, thinking, contemplating, getting opinions. I don’t know where the road will lead but I do know that my plan is not to have lifetime cars but hold on to them a reasonable period of time and enjoy them and not lust for the lasted and greatest. I might even consider buying used! Gasp!!
I need to look at this. I just can’t get myself to pay 250k for this. Maybe apply the 2 year rule and get one used but the last turbo I drove it was a vacuum cleaner with so much turbo lag it drove me nuts.
Mine which is on the way is pretty highly Spec’d and is $221k. Not that bad, all things considered. It’s Veyron + performance from 0-100 mph.
No doubt it’s a fast car and it probably makes a lot of sense for me to get but it just doesn’t tickle my funny bone. To me the ideal car from Porsche would be a 3rs manual! That would be a fun car!!
I know they are doing that bogus fake manual/pdk but I haven’t heard anything about a full Blown 3 pedal car in the RS
TDF is next level on all fronts including the price!! Yikes!!! Probably one of my favorite cars ever made.... I just wish I bought one at sticker! I see the prices have softened which is good. May the Horse be with you
I would say the 2011 997.2 GT3RS. More visceral than the 991.2. I have both, of course. Two 2011s, lol.
I agree with you. But the 997 GT3 looks like a toy next to the 991.2. Overall, I like the 991.2 more. Of course, I have a 997 GT2, so maybe that is why.
I got you. But dustman sold his 918 Spyder after months. Go figure prolly thought it wasnt loud enough lmao
You guys just kill me. And I respectfully mean this... but... who in their right mind does this!!!???
Now you’re talking! I’m working on a post/review on the TDF shortly... Th conclusion, it is a must! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think that what you have said already is enough for a review. The conclusion is a MUST HAVE Agreed!
