Depends on chassis number and what the build sheet says.
Which # are we talking about?

It is a Hietbrink rebuild on a 250 GTE, thank you.

On a real 250 GT SWB Competizione the wheels came in both 15" and 16" diameter and with both painted and polished rims of different widths, mostly 5 1/2" and 6".

Is it a 59/60 Comp. SWB replica or a 61?
Is that #1993GT? Although many authentic cars use wider rims today, those rims look too wide to how the wheels were in period.

    Thanks for the pix.
Both of these SWB's, 2863 GT and 2701 GT, are regulars at Laguna Seca since many years.

Six SWB were present in Dijon yesterday, on the first day of Tour Auto 2021 (Peter Auto organisation).
Three run in Competition category and three in Regularity.

Car 222: Alexander Van der Lof / Niek Bouman (Holland)
Car 163: Arnold Meier / Mario Illien (Switzerland)
Car 184: Benno Allemann / Ursula Allemann (Switzerland)
Car 31: Benoit Dauchin / Paul Dauchin (Switzerland) - Regularity
Car 60: Corado Cupellini / Francesca Cupellini (Italy) - Regularity
Car 145:Fabio Meier / Tobias Holzer

Maybe Marcel Massini can tell us something about these beauties ?

    I like #222.

#163 has a sort of ugly mouth.

It wears the Dutch registration plate of s/n 3911 GT, a 1962 steel car, also in the Van der Lof family.
However, this is a different car. It probably has a 250 GT identity. If anyone has the opportunity to check it, please let us know!

50% are replicas. Is it a good ratio ?

I'm surprised 222 and 163 are still running in competition when you see the violence of this race !

A lots of risks and opportunities to destroy a monument of art…

Ask Diego Meier, on his Ferrari 250 MM, if he will be back next year ?

    99% sure that #163 is 2445GT.

    #145 I believe it's 2111GT and #222 is 3911GT.

Why not? That doesn't look too bad and unless the body was completely original from factory, then so what? Get her fixed and enjoy her on the best roads in the world. Certainly better than looking at her in a climate controlled underground garage or just standing on a golf concours.

Diego is a friend of mine.
That is just a fender bender, no big deal, pocket money so to speak.
0254 MM will be fixed shortly by Carrozzeria Brandoli in Montale, Italy.
    No worries.
Oh, btw, besides 0254 MM the same family also has the sister 250 MM 0298 MM.

Hi, is it true there is a replica wearing s/n 2701 in Europe?

    Good for him !

By the way, the car is still driving fast and Diego is still in the race. The reliability of the Ferrari is not a legend…
