A million thanks to Rob again for this wonderful gift. I finally was able to cook it Sunday and its excellent. And like @GTHill said, the sauce is the surprise of the show. I am loving both of them so much but the pineapple habanero edges out the Hawaiian by just a smidge. And if im not mistaken actual pineapple chunks.

Giving some to my parents tomorrow.

    Gonna be good!

Do you have enough chili seasoning? Seems a bit too light in color. Keep in mind that Williams is salt free - at least what we buy - so will want to taste test along the way.

I went with the "or" mixture. The adobo chilis added a ton of color and its actually very dark (the pic sorta understates the color due to the bright lights I think).

I had a cup at lunch time and it really good and flavorful...but...its hotter than hades...too much chili and heat. Its not "5-alarm" punishing, but its got a fair bit of heat...I'll serve it with a bit of sour cream and cheddar to mitigate it tonight...

Aha, gotcha. That must have been two hot adobo chilies. Did you use chilies from a can?

My wife made it- I’m working evenings this week. Calls for a lot of things done differently than recipes we’ve used in the past- follow it to a T. Well worth it- best one I’ve eaten.

yeah, the canned ones. I saw a bunch of seeds in there and didn't take them out. And I sprinkled in some chipotle powder. And the chili powder itself. And paprika. I imagine some or all of those are hot

Well...that was fun and yummy. And surprisingly easy. This was as good as any chili I’ve had...it had a sweet-heat thing going on with the tomato paste and the heat from the chopped adobo chilis. The dollop of sour cream solved the over-heated issue, now it was more like a medium spice Indian curry. Loads of flavor and the meat got plenty tender.

    I’ve got a ton left and I think I'll do chili-cheese fries tomorrow :)

Frito pie is easy - pour a bag of Fritos into a bowl, cover with chili, top with some shredded sharp cheddar cheese. Nuke in the microwave. Pork out!

Ha! Great descriptor - Yeah, this time of year - Dried peppers like Anchos disappear - Tamale season. Hydrate the dried & scrape "meat" for out-of-world smokiness.

Canned *with* seeds have that different component than rehydrated & interwined with powdered & liquified stuff brought that heat.

Leftover chili is funny how it melds into a calmer Tex-Mex soul food.

We finally got through some holiday leftovers and were able to chow down on this tonight. Thank you, Rob! The missus and I thought it was great.

I have to admit that the idea of mixing beef and pork seemed odd when you first posted it - having lived first in Memphis & now in Texas - but it really worked flavor-wise.

Again, thank you for the care package and, more importantly, thank you for your generosity of spirit!

You are welcome and thanks for the compliments! FerrariChat is a special place with lots of cool people..

The blending concept appears to be mine to claim and as far as I can tell, I've not seen it anywhere else.. Meanwhile, I've been doing it for years with Bolognese Sweet Italian sausage and beef..

You keep posting about having taco pizza and there's nowhere around me that sells it. Used to get it from Godfather's here when I was a "yute" and I loved it. They did it with refried beans instead of any sauce, then taco meat and lettuce and tomatoes on top after baking.

So since I couldn't find anywhere here that makes it, I went to the store last night and bought dough and stuff to make it. The only dough they had was wheat and it's too sweet and hard to get very thin or crispy. It was still tasty though despite the crust not being very good. Made it last night and had leftovers today. Even have beans and meat left for a few tacos tomorrow. :)

Dog training class tonight. Goes from 4:30pm until 5:30pm. Usually runs a little longer. So I'll grab fast food on the way home. Only three options on my route home. Triple O's, Arby's and Tim Horton's. Leaning towards Arby's. I like the curly fries.

If it's too hot, can always "cut" your chili by serving it over white rice.
    Makes a hearty meal.
If you're from the Midwest, then over spaghetti is another option! ;)

    Looks great!!!

My go to for leftover chili is the hot dogs, nacho topping, or enchilada/quesadilla.
