While I prefer cars as they left the factory, with 330 GTS values around $2M this could present an attractive opportunity to the right person. Though I'm not a buyer, curious if you have a ballpark cost estimate to complete the project?

Hope you find your buyer, GLWS.

Yes, It would be silly to convert this car back into a coupe. This conversion is indistinguishable from a factory original GTS. Many factory parts were used in the conversion and the metal work was done by one of the best metal fabricaters in the country using an original Ferrari 330GTS as a car to copy. There have been many Daytonas and 275GTB4 converted into spiders.

Here are some updated photos of the 330GTC/GTS conversion car.We cleaned up the dash and original steering wheel and installed them. Rebuild brakes and clutch hydraulic system. Got the engine running and did a compression test and all seems good.

Chrome plated items like the bumpers normally get copper coated first then nickel and chrome. But I have seen gold bumpers before if that is what you like?

Interesting, have seen plenty of Daytonas and 275's converted, never a 330.

Doing a proper conversion on a 330GTC to Spider is a huge job and much more difficult then the Daytona and NART spider conversions. Fortunatly we had a couple of original 330GTS we were restoring to accuratily copy and we found many original parts through Fred Petrowski. The hardest part was to get the windshield frame correct and the stainless steel trim. I think it would be difficult to do the same conversion for what we are selling the car for.

Do the originals differ from the coupes with respect to chassis stiffening etc. and did you do that if so?

The coupe chassis and the spider chassis are identical with no additional stiffening needed.

I was luck enough to own a 330GTS. Despite owning a 4-Cam, Lusso, Daytona, 275GTS, 365GTC...the 330GTS was my favorite. I really regret selling it.

    I’m curious too.

It’s priced like it’s fully completed.

It does? So what is the going price of a restored 330 GTS and 330GTC today. I have restored 3 Ferrari 330GTS's and 2 330GTC's, so I know a little bit about these cars.

We were contracted to just get the car up and running and drivable. It should be going to the paint shop next month if it is not sold in the mean time.

Incomplete projects are difficult to sell. The more strange or difficult the project, and its incomplete, it gets a lot harder to sell.

I think paint and unpholderty and final finishing would be a great ROI.

It's really compelling to be able to finish off the paint and interior of a superior restoration to your own tastes, but sadly I'm not ready to take on a project right now. GLWS unless I retire before this sells :)
