That car Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login looks eerily familiar........
And that blue is a non metallic version of the Blu Cepheus (Lambo names a lot of their their after constellations).
Just went and checked out the STO. It was everything I expected it to be. Visually, it makes my Performante seem almost subdued by comparison. I’m very excited about the new seats. I actually pick up a ton of headroom. They were anxious to how I fit, knowing that I am their biggest customer (6’6” 265lbs). I was shocked by how much better the seating position and headroom are. I also confirmed that they will need my spec by the end of Feb because my car has a Sept projected delivery date.
Liked them seats, huh? Must be supersized because they felt a bit big on me (6’ and 185lbs). Seating position is superb!
I was totally unaware of this. I had no idea that you could switch it to rear wheel drive. Is that for real? May the Horse be with you
Just received my Lamborghini magazine and newsletter. It describes the STO : " Born on the track but destined for road use."
Now that's what I call a cold start, and when revving it it almost seems like they switched the flywheel from the standard Huracans as it seems to rev up and down very fast (like the LFA or CGT) at least compared to my Huracan, and yes when revving it, makes all other newly produced cars just feel meh, it's not even fair I know I gonna go off like a kid in a candy-store when I see it in person as the video describes it so well, sitting right next to a Supertrofeo and does not seems subdued in comparison at all. IMO when it comes to presence, sound and hopefully engaging to drive, tickeling all your senses in the right way, giving you goosebumps when flooring it in tunnels - this car will be unmatched in it's price category and even one step up price-wise among newly produced cars. Will not be surprised at all if they sell out and the high demand will bring them to a premium well over sticker to get one in near future, but time will tell. I sure as hell hope to get one asap so I don't have to wait for this to happen. Sure it has the same engine as some say, I could not care less, it's so much more of an engaging ans sexy engine compared to the competitions lazy farting turbo engines when the only thing they have to do is turn up the boost to gain some hp (I know I'm simplifying things but I hope most of you get what I mean in the bigger picture), and then putting GPF on them, it's just game over for me.
While the glory of the Lamborghini V10 is its sound and linear acceleration, its downside is its sizeable mass and relatively low power compared to its forced induction competitors. For example, tremendous effort has been expended to minimize the weight of the STO. It also is a much smaller car than the 765, for example. Yet, the numbers below reveal the tale. STO - H- 48 " 765- H- 45.6" W- 76.57" W- 85.1" L- 179 L- 181.1" HP- 631 755 Dry weight- 1339 lbs 1229 lbs Weight to power ratio 2.122 --- 1.627
The additional power in the 765 may not make it a better, faster or more satisfying driving car if the power is intractable - which is appearing more to be the case reading owner reviews of both 675 and 765. This may place the STO as the faster and overall satisfying car to drive of the two. Unfortunately, other than perhaps on a dead straight rd, having more power doesn’t necessarily translate into better or faster if it is intractable. Then there is the element of sound which is clearly superior in the V10... The main drawback in the STO may come down to an overly harsh ride charactoristic and a lack of storage space for those seeking to drive the car on overnight runs. Whilst there is a novelty factor having ballistic acceleration, the novelty that goes with having an all round better balanced package is usually the better deal for the driver.
Lol. Dont get too far ahead of yourself there Cadster as Im only pointing out the obvious - which can often bring about negative reaction ive found.
Cadster. Honestly i think the biggest competitor to the STO as a drivers car will be the new gt3 and rs version. There will always be choices based upon the aesthetic, placing it above all else that really matters and i think this is where the gt3 will always come off second best, but rarely will it as a performance package. Time will tell.
I suspect both driver and passenger will be determined by how this car is externally dressed and, whether the passenger will be female.
Obviously speed is but one element of the component of a stellar super car. A car design that starts with light weight, a powerful engine and a carbon fibre tub has a distinct advantage over another that has a significant higher weight/ power ratio. That does not imply that the later vehicle cannot be highly satisfying and extremely capable both on the road and track. Based upon my experience with the Performante and the EVO RWD, almost assuredly guarantees the STO will be a very special car.
LOL. Shadow's new year resolution. Make them believe their my friends and then whip'em! KIDDING SHADOW!
Some of what that salesperson says strikes me as potentially inaccurate. My dealer knew exactly their number of allocations for this year, and for next year (although next year might well change). They also told me point blank to expect my car in Sept. Meanwhile, she says that the dealer does not know their allocation amount and that their first cars will not arrive for at least a year. Neither of those statements comport with what I was told.
