Jered Zimmerman out of Apollo Beach FL recent sold the 2004 Nero/Cuoio 575 with FHP and Fabio's headers. I was just curious if anyone here ended up picking up the car. It is Ser. no 138474 It didn't sell a handful of times on ebay (getting up to $69k on the 2nd to last auction) and then he finally noted it sold. Last auction he had it listed $90k Buy it Now. It ended without sale and then I presume it closed thereafter when he followed up.
Given where other cars have been and are for sale, $75-$80k-ish would have been a reasonable number after PPI since no info on the cars last major. That also aligns with someone’s last high bid at $69k. The car was on at least 1 tv episode and from Fabios site it looked like he donated those headers for the coverage back then.
I also liked the next video suggested by YT after I watched that one. The original Top Gear 575 FHP vs Vanquish from 2002
Thanks I just got an email from Jared this morning regarding that. @mathewr Matt are you in the market? I'm not in any rush so if you are then I can stand back and out of the way.
Well Matt, I guess a deposit is down and 5 people behind the deposit if it falls apart at their asking price of $100k. Sucks for Jared if that is true since he wasn’t able to sell it at the level he was trying for in the market.
I just bought my F430 three months ago so no room for another car for me. I just know/watch the market and noticed it was the topic of discussion lately.
Ok, that's good. Will hope to see hear more of it on here. Glad it ended up with an F-Chatter enthusiast and not parked in a collection somewhere. If I were to go the 575 route, from what I've seen that 575 was towards the top of my list but I'm too thrifty! If I understand it correctly there are still only perhaps four 550's and four or five 575's with Fabio's system (or parts) in the USA. I wished our banned Italian friend a happy new year after a few back and forth messages on instagram yesterday/today. I do wonder why the buyer didn't take it down on Ebay.....maybe like me they were not initially paying attention? If there was a reason to buy through Black Horse i'd gladly take some of that education via PM/Conversation if public forum isn't appropriate?
As Terry mentioned, I ended up with it. Thrilled to death and can’t wait for delivery. Excited to continue sharing the journey of this fabulous Maranello.
@tazandjan when you said a friend of ours… I thought you meant one of our collective friends… I hadn’t known you meant Joe @Qksilver ! Yes I’m excited for Joe as well, we had been PM/conversing behind the scenes on the spreadsheet I’m maintaining and I love the hunt and am not in a hurry so I’m really glad he is the one to get it. Apologies for being slow on the uptake today....couldn’t sleep after 1am, watched and enjoyed the war movie “1917” on showtime in the middle of the night and will not even make midnight EST converted to PST tonight! ;-) Everyone have a safe NYE!
Congrats!! Please make a thread with your impression and pictures etc. Black 575 with that exhaust is on top of the Maranello food chain. 2021 will be great.
Thanks! I've gone backwards and bought the car before selling the one it will eventually replace (my 996 Turbo). Thanks Eric! I enjoyed 1917 as well. Appreciate the consultation! Thanks Barry. Maybe I'll try to mimic your famous front bumper road rash picture. I am planning on it! It will certainly see a few trips this year, assuming the vaccines bring the allows to move around the country enjoyably. I have very high expectations with this fabled, mythical exhaust!
The car will be picked up Thursday and should be here this weekend. It was a pleasure working with Darren. More fodder for discussion to come! -Joe
She’s home and she’s magnificent. Had time for a few miles after delivery; the car is flawless and the exhaust is mind blowing. started an IG for the car @F138474 for those who’d like to see the car in action moving forward. Image Unavailable, Please Login
