It wasn’t no option. It had shields ...... I was second owner. Did he just buy? Top down, I Never missed anything. There are a couple of true no option cars out there that I’m told fall through the cracks of ordering and don’t even get shields. Seems odd. They offered me a no option lusso which I passed on. Placed a deposit today with FOCF for an F8 Spider before the window closes. Dealer optimistic they’ll be an allocation, we’ll see how all this goes down and if delivery times may in fact improve as Ferrari endeavors to retool for the next generation of cars. I figure I’m in a good place. I’ve decided to keep the 458 as the fun car that it is, have already spruced it up a bit, and will remain as my go to mountain machine. And we’re building a new home with more garage space which won’t be ready until late 2021 at the earliest. So if it’s meant to be, great! Why would I add an F8 spider to the stable? No sound reason, other than I’ve grown fond of Ferraris and the F8 just felt right. I’m already having fun with the specs and will surely enjoy the process. Color wise, I’m a lot more open than I was with the 458, and I think the spider version of the F8 looks great in just about every color. I’ve seen some awesome builds on this forum! I have one more potential trick up my sleeve with regard to supercars, but I’ll reveal this at a later date if it comes to pass (hint, it’s not a Ferrari). Given all the uncertainty in everyone’s lives, one thing is assured: 2021 is gonna be an expensive year for me, lol!
There is plenty of time for placing F8 orders, but nothing wrong with leaving a deposit there until they ask you to spec the car as it is 100% refundable. IMO the biggest news will be IF a speciale version is or not going to be released. Its not over until the fat lady sings and the F8 will be the last non electric V8 rear engine car

crazy there are almost indistinguishable looks between 488 Pista and F8 Spider. I guess Ferrari knows what they're doing having less differentiation between models.

Status update: I just received a call from F Tampa informing me that my car is in port. They are saying ~ 2 weeks for delivery to me. Great news to finish out the week.
