If Mercedes knows that why didn't they just ditch Hamilton years ago? Actually why did they sign him in the first place?

Russell proved it..so much so that Benz had to sabatoge him with that god awful pit stop..imho that was no mistake. The Benz team does not make mistakes like that.

They knew exactly what would have happend if Russell, driving a car with a size smaller shoe and not even fitted for it won the race by the massive margin he was on track to do.

I know of a few lifelong F1 followers who switched off their TV's in disgust straight after the Mercedes clown moment. They think it was sabotage for the reasons you mention and more.

I remain open minded, but it sure was an incredible coincidence if it was not intentional.

I don’t see where he adds sufficient value to justify that. I don’t know about in Europe or China or Japan but I’m pretty sure MBz isn’t selling many cars in the US because of Hamilton or even because of the manfacturers’ championships. So what do they get for their $200M+?

Thats a lot of money considering that a guy like russel would bring a championship for far less money

The pandemic has an effect on global sales for MB as well as other manufactures.

Throw in MB litigation issues of cheating and 10's of thousands of layoffs, yeah, it well be hard justifying Lewis's terms.

MB F1 could get Ineos (sponsor) to pay for Lewis's demands but I'm just speculating at this point.

So Lil' Lewis...what's changed? In summer 2020 you weren't comfortable negotiating a contract for more money because of the corona situation and job losses...

Yet now you ask for more money, even though Mercedes announced they'll have to do even more job cuts?

Was your summer 2020 just your usual virtue signaling in another attempt to stay as ''man of the people''?

If he didn't ******** so often he might have been more likeable

    He's just a POS.

Just like how he whined and cried about Vettel in Canada, and then defended Vettel, and 'felt pity' and don't 'feel right' winning after Vettel getting punished.

It's the same as him saying he wants a fast teammate, knowing that Bottas would be his lapdog once again....if he wanted a fast teammate why didn't they sign Russell again? He *always* says one thing but really does the other.

Ask Fernando how being Lewis' "fast teammate" works out.

    Lewis Hamilton is an idiot.

Ask Schumacher why he never had a fast team mate.

Massa was so slow he almost won the WDC in 2008, thanks to Glock who deliberately let pass Hamilton at the very end of the Brazilian GP.
Or do you mean that Massa had to be slow driving as n°2 aside Schumacher, and became faster once the German was gone? :D

Glock didn't deliberately let Hamilton pass at the end of the BrazilianGP. Glock's pit made a bad call and left him out on slicks on a wet track.

There's an on-board on YouTube of Glock on the final lap and he's struggling for grip and losing traction.

Is Massa faster than Alonso? Hamilton beat 2 wdc's Schumacher 0. Bottas beat Massa.
Yeah thanks to Glock for Hamilton's championship. I'm sure Hamilton winning previous races that year had nothing to do with it. Hey why didn't some one let Leclerc by in Abu Dhabi so he could win the championship?

.Massa had 2 DNF's vs Lewis's 1 DNF. Had Massa had not had that extra DNF, Massa would have won the season regardless of Glock's pitlane making a mistake.

    It is what it is.

If we are counting DNfs Hamilton would have 20 championships by now
