You're causing me physical pain hearing that and knowing I don't have those 6-1 headers on my 612.

    Absolutely amazing sound!

I need to hear this under load. Free revs are just a tease.

Agree.. After I had a ride with Fabio, I realized that the sound of my 550 reminded me of a vacuum cleaner or a Civic or something like that.

Joe- I should send you a photo of my front bumper with combat scars earned from nearly 13 years of ownership. I am a let the bumper chip and eventually repaint kind of owner.

Would love to see - post it up! I am typically in the same boat, but since this car is black and the bumper and hood are literally flawless - as in, not even in need of a correction - I figured it's worth it. Plus this new XPEL plastic heals itself with heat, so should remain 100% for a long, long time.

congrats on your new 575 joe.

i have a 04 575 in nero since 2009. i went through a year "trying" to maintain black/paint correction/etc. best thing i ever did was have the entire car wrapped in xpel, even had the satin black areas wrapped w satin film. the xpel has help up extremely well. optical clarity not as good as bare paint...but i'd rather have a black car that looks 95% good 99% of the time than a car that looks 100% only 10% of the time (if its a driver). so easy to use detail spray/dust off/cover after drive without swirls/marring etc. which means you will drive it more:)

I agree with Taz. I want to see the real paint finish. To cover the paintwork with these new fashionable tapes, is as the rubber equivalent in making love.

Thanks, P1! The funny thing is that I love a good detail session. But any time you touch the paint, you do risk marring, even with ceramic base and ceramic silica spray for maintenance post-wash. So it weirdly allows me to still maintain the exterior AND ensure that the result is consistently 98% perfection. So that is a good thing. The healing property of this XPEL when heat get into it is a nice bonus too.

I don’t disagree in theory, but this new plastic is imperceptible - I’m shocked over how invisible it truly is. Plus I’m not ready for kids yet. :)

The bottom picture looks familiar, is that Goshen or Providence Road? I’m in Wayne and would love to hear the exhaust first hand, I’ve been thinking about that it for my 550.
