2004 575M Assy 54341 TDF Blue over Cuoio. Looks beautiful even on a cloudy day! Very different from previous 360 Spider but enjoying it so far. Thanks for the helpful comments as I was considering the change.

    Beautiful car!
I have a red/beige one (Assy. No. 52781) which I use as a fair weather daily driver.
I want to try a V8 and would like to hear your back-to-back comparison.
    I’m looking at 360 or 430 convertible.
    Thanks!

Beautiful car. Congratulations. What are the top 3 differences from the 360 you've noticed so far?

A couple of you have asked about this.

One big difference is the perspective when driving. In the 360, it feels like the road is right in your lap. Sort of like a 911, the fenders frame the picture a bit but for the most part you see the road. In the 575M, at least so far, I am very aware of the long hood in front of me.

The torque in the 575M is amazing and completely different from the 360. The 360 requires a lot of revs, and a lot of shifting. Even in normal driving, my shift point was much higher in the 360 than the 575M. But it's not really a problem because the 360 loves to rev -- redline is 8500 and it gets there in a hurry if you ask it to. On the other hand, the 575M seems totally tractable -- high or low gear, low or high RPM -- it's happy either way.

The 360 demands attention from the driver, and never lets you forget that you are driving a high performance, mid-engine exotic car. In contrast, even though its limits are higher, the 575M seems to have inherent flexibility to deliver incredible performance upon request, but also to provide a more relaxed environment when desired.

My sample size is small, but the 575M seems to get noticed less on the road than the 360 did.

I really enjoyed the ten years with the 360, and I am loving my first week with the 575M.

Michael- Looks like Cuoio to me on the interior and she has the diamond pattern stitching on the luggage shelf that was not on option lists, but available if you knew to ask.

    Hi,

Long bonnet? Have you ever driven an E-type? :D

Very nice 575 you got! Elegant, powerful and somewhat comfortable and practical as you can fit a bit more than just a beach bag in the trunk. A Ferrari for grown ups! ;)

    Cheers!

Me too as it pertains to TdF....of the “standard colors” it has been my favorite.

My favorite colors are strongly model dependent. No surprise that color and design are intimately tied. My 456 looks fabulous in TdF. Equally, Grigio Ingrid is particularly elegant on the 456. TdF looks good on 360/430s, but not quite as specifically suited to the designs as it is on the 456.

Pozzi looks fabulous on those body designs that carry the darker colors best like the 612, FF, and some others. Looking at 456s in dark grey and black, I think they do best with the slightly lighter tone of TdF. Meanwhile, I think Azzuro California goes best in the V8 series cars with their general body shapes and visual weights.
